Hard for them to understand that it's all literally a math equation.

Their income vs the mans, and depending on how much "parenting time" each person gets, if they make "too much" they may end up paying.

Sad that women/feminists turned this all into just a "free income" in their mind. Stuff like this is why society is collapsing slowly.

I think something that gets overlooked in the Alimony / Child Support argument is how completely unfair and non-equitable it is for men.

So, the idea is that if a woman has been a stay at home mom she has "sacrificed" her earning potential and should be compensated for that.

But what of the man's "Sacrifice" did he not sacrifice time with his child(ren) to earn money for the family to survive?
Surely that should mean that men get compensated for that by getting default custody of the children right?
But no... that's not how it works at all..

Women get default custody in the majority of the cases.
And yes before some lurker out there says it: "Men who fight for custody get it in the majority of cases. Firstly, "fighting for it" comes at a large financial cost and in many cases men can not afford it.
Secondly, men shouldn't HAVE to spend thousands of dollars fighting for custody of their children in the first place!

So when a woman divorces her male partner she commonly receives:

1/2 of his financial assets (including 401K etc)
The family home
Alimony
Child Support
Default custody of the children

And men only get some of the above very rarely and when it does happen women kick up a massive fuss over how "Unfair" it is..

Most men who go through divorce end up worse off, often forced to working multiple jobs just to earn enough to stay on top of their payments..
And if by some miracle the man gets a better more well paying job? well his payment obligations increase to match his new job.

But now that women are starting to out earn men and the rules are being applied to them..
NOW they call things like Alimony and 50/50 splits of assets "Unfair"?

Oh the irony is palpable...

The article is full of misinformation where she wrongly speculates that her ex could have gotten something that was unfair (but didn’t). The only part that is true is that her mother made a gift of money towards the house down payment and it became joint property to be shared equally. But of course this is the case; the house was jointly owned, what else would anyone expect. Does she want to take back any Christmas presents her family gave the ex? And who the f would agree to a prenup that said you get to take back gifts, it probably wouldn’t even be valid anyway.

She got a completely standard settlement for a short marriage. Both keep what they came into the marriage with, divide the property jointly acquired during the marriage equally, no entitlement on either side to support due to the short duration and that both parties kept working. Prenup would have been exactly zero value.

The acknowledgement that this has been happening to men for years, but now it’s happening to women something must be done is awful. It’s essentially an admission they knew how unfair it was, but didn’t care as they benefitted.

Now however it’s not a completely one sided game, it’s not fun anymore and so something must be done.
