Most red leaning guys don't struggle with dating because for most of them they're not THAT invested in politics and are fine dating a normie midwest/southern woman who is passively republican herself. But a lot of younger red/"alt right" guys are men who despite being politically conservative, still have a lot of attachments to cultural/social things that lean more liberal. In fact, their interests often intersect more with your average liberal woman than they would with the average normie conservative women.

I'm a leftist and I've always attracted a lot of conservative guys. What I've found is that for a lot of them, "politics" in itself is an interest and hobby of theirs, and when they meet a woman who is also super interested in politics it makes her more attractive, even when she is on the other end of the spectrum. I think leftist women are much, much, much more likely to be actively "political" than conservative women are. In my experience, conservative women are generally only passively so, likely because they just come from a conservative family or they're conservative by extension of their religion (another differing point i've found between a lot of young conservative men and young conservative women is that the men are often NOT particularly religious and naturally find more interest in liberal women for that reason.)

So these conservative guys will hop on tinder and swipe right on a bunch of hot liberal chicks who like the same music as them or maybe he just finds them physically hotter because they neither dress like mormons nor do they have the stock "sorority babe" look of conservative girls, and then get upset when the his manic pixie dream e-girl is like NO FUCKING TRUMPERS. It's ridiculous.
