So much truly horrendous advice here.

She is flirting with you, almost guaranteed. Most women are not going to tell you unsolicited "OMG this guy hit on me" stories unless they are either consciously or unconsciously trying to prove to you they are desirable. I've taken mental notes whenever this happens to me, and 100% of the time it turns out they like me in some way.

Second, just because she said she punched someone does not make her a psycho path. She's trying to seem edgy and interesting. It probably either didn't even happen or she is hyper exaggerating.

Finally, if she knows you like her and you are going to bars together alone then you've already won. It's just a matter of not fucking things up on your part.

That sentence could mean "I like you. now hit on my since I shooed the other guy away!"

Or it could mean "I'm just telling you a silly joke to make convo. And also I'm hot."

If you wanted to know if she liked you, you should have asked her if she would have punched you away.

But it seems you may be too scared to ask direct questions because you might get a direct answer ?

It would depend on the tenor of the whole conversation, but without any context, I'd assume #3. She's telling you a story about a thing that happened. She might be a bit too intense if she answers a come on line with physical violence. She's lucky he didn't escalate the situation, which would have been bad for everyone involved, or press charges.

You're going about this all wrong. You never want to be in the position of a friend trying to interpret things that could only barely maybe mean that she's interested in you. She's not the Delphic oracle. There was no hidden message. She didn't like the guy who was hitting on her.
