dry spells are always long otherwise they wouldn't be dry spells. no need to think about 'long' dry spells.

id say for a man in his 20's a dry spell is no sex in 18 months, that's for a normal guy, if you're a former incel a dry spell would be like 5 years

it really depends on how proactive the guy tries to be to get with women. its easy to have dry spells as a guy if you don't be proactive towards being with women.

Wow okay I see a lot of answers here based on months, I always thought a dry spell had to be at least like 2 years. Honestly makes me way less sympathetic about dudes complaining about dry spells now.

Mine was somewhere around 7 months. I feel scarred. I carry around a lot of worry that somehow my life will go back to that. I know it's not rational , I understand "game" and attraction much better now, it's just, it was so bad. It really hurt being that isolated

Mine was around 3 years, plus another year (during which I've found this place) a couple of years after. Oh and then a couple of 1 year-longs before that 3-year one(one literally having sex then having it again meeting the same girl next summer).

That was really stressful and a really deep psychological trauma. When everyone around has it and you can't get it and are invisible - that's heartbreaking :) If TRP helps with that - then people who don't have no say in criticizing it, really.

I had one that lasted 20 years that only ended recently.

In all seriousness, it would depend on the person. I imagine some people would be fine going 5 years without, but others would get irritable after a week of not getting ass.

Also, why would it be a concern?

a dry spell automatically means, to me, too long. I don't think about long dry spells.

A dry spell would be when you notice that you consciously notice you haven't had an orgasm in a while. I also think it depends on how often you regularly have sex. So obviously, virgins don't have dry spells and neither can incels.

Personally, a dry spell to me is like 6 months.

This is a late entry and no one will read it, but what about extended periods where sex was only very rare? In that case, I had a period of eleven years where a torrid sex life was once a month, and very often I went without sex for over a year.

It was devastating to my self-esteem. It took being destroyed in a divorce and limping back to life before it ever improved.

It changes. I've been many months without it and got used to it. In a relationship (as I am now) a week would seem like a dry spell. If we go for a few days without (when we're busy or have the flu etc) it starts to seem like way, way too long.

Dry spell in a relationship is 1 week for me. I've calmed down. I used to get mega upset after 2 days, crazy kid that I was.

Dry spell outside of a relationship is 6months-1year. I think the longest I've gone without sex is just over 6 months.

The longest I've ever gone without sex since I started was probably 3 months in my late teens, so I doubt I'm qualified to answer this question.

That didn't seem long at the time. I've had times where I had to go nearly 45 days (surgery complications) while married, and that seemed like an eternity.

for women? A month. Within a day of minimal to no effort she can get laid easily.

Withing 30 days of minimal effort, she can reliably get dolled up, go to a bar/club and find an experienced chad who can give her an orgasm.

For men, a 1 year time period is cause for concern. This is because after about 6 months his standards will have dropped and he can easily go to a bar and find some dirty slut to fuck. If he cannot do this, then there may be some serious issue going on.
