Is cheating really that common ?

There have been numerous studies on the subject with varying outcomes but ive never seen one where the number of cheaters exceeded 50% of the whole. So it's still more normal to not cheat than to cheat.

I think the older people get, the less likely they are to cheat. I think if people have children and stable marriages, the likelihood of them cheating will go down.

Emotional cheating for sure. I can't imagine over the course of a really long relationship (like decades) you would never ever develop a crush or emotional bond with someone other than your partner.

Physical cheating not as much simply because it requires the opportunity.

Females cheat more. You see it brought up on subs so often. Subs like relationships, relationshipadvice, MGTOW, etc. It is rampant and increasing due to dating apps.

For people who cheat and for people who don’t break up with people for showing warning signs of cheating, it’s a lot more common than people who actively avoid warning signs. Some people have been cheated on by just abt every partner they’ve had. Some have never been cheated on in their lives.

If you smell dogshit in one place, there’s probably dog shit there. If you smell it everywhere you go, you might want to check your shoes

Depends on how you define it. Attention whoring until you find a different/better partner is far more common. Same as men dumping their gf’s because they met someone better.

Emotional cheating then branch swinging and physical infidelity is kinda a difference without distinction.

So, the gist of it is that over third of all people cheat, and in some populations/age groups up to 60%. This is out of self-reported statistics, so the real number is likely greater, since people are more likely to under-report cheating than over-report.

Emotuonally cheating - YES Almost every relationship anyone has ever talked to me about had some sort of emotional cheating - specifically with girls anyways

Physical? Not so much, but it's enough to say that humans naturally have a horrible sense of morals and dignity

Most of the couples I know are polyamorous so why bother to cheat. If you're inclined to cheat you probably have one foot out the door, just end the relationship and fuck others in good conscience.
