Imo yeah.Of course the uglier you are the higher your status has to be but I'd say it makes a HUGE difference.Both for STRs and LTRs.

If you can project your frame and establish status a lot of women will project the rest of the package onto you. Even at my lowest I found that women would just kind of graft a Chad persona onto me if it worked.

I’m a fairly good looking guy but not tall. Female interest skyrocketed whenever I was playing in a band or even just hanging out with them. At my last job I had several 20-21 yo girls into me and I was the boss of the floor, and respected by my colleagues. Over and over this is what I see really get female interest.

Yep. There were some not that attractive guys who were star athletes in my high school and they had all kinds of girls. There were some not particularly attractive guys who had status because of their family's wealth who were like that too. I'm an average looking white guy who went to the Philippines and women were constantly smiling at me and giving me IOIs despite the fact that I was with my fiancée. In the U.S. this rarely happens to me.

When everybody in a particular environment is of roughly equal status, though, then looks and charm are the most important factors.

IMO and from what I have observed it is quite powerful. However, the word social status here is a bit different so for instance it can be someone who is unemployeed but he has lots of friends, he has swag and has street smarts can be a person of social status.

It can mean a bar tender or a dance instructor. It usually means someone who has lots of friends, parties. Sometimes it can be immigrants who come from tough environmets and or hoods. So social status is not necessary a boss in somekinf of a firm.

Somethings that I gate about pua, redpill or etc.. is something are left unexplained and one of them is social status. When they say social status what do they really mean because a lot of rich men or men in position DO NOT HAVE STATUS and hence aint attractive. An other thing is what is a 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10, you hear all the times 9s and tens are harder to attract etc.. but still what is a 9 or a ten. Is it a beautiufl woman with no ass or a decent woman with a nice ass. Or a woman who is on a cover magazine, or a nice thicc woman with big boobs etc...

SO yes social status in my experince seems really powerful but the definition is different than what is usually told. It usually is in terms of either power, or someone influencing or surrounded by cool people than someone in high positin in a company.

I see it more as a correlation - a man who can maintain social status is also a man who is likely to pass shit tests (aka "is capable of flirting and demonstrating confidence"), because they use the same mental muscles. But I don't think all women uniformly screen for it in a deliberate "if he isn't THE BOSS I refuse to date him". Plenty of normal people attracted to normal people to go around. But there's correlation.

I could not have sex with or date someone I didn’t find attractive regardless of social status or wealth. I tried once and just felt like a sex worker (no hate to sex workers, not my jam).

Remember the dual sexual strategy. Social status is a highly sought after beta trait, it makes a man valuable as a long term partner. They clearly seek it out.

But it isn’t alpha. A man relying on beta traits usually has to wait for sex and prove his commitment, and once he gets hooked by marriage and kids, the sex goes to a minimum.

The things that matter most as far as social markers go in a general sense are competency, confidence, and capability*. If you have all three you're probably high social status as a result. Status itself comes from these.

Everyone starts with a level of capability given by luck of the draw. Competency is trained and then executed. Confidence exists when competency is mastered.

*By capability I'm including looks. Anything innate, for the lookist folks out there.
