It surprises me that so many of the posters here subscribe to incel mythology. My experience of how the dating world works is so different from what some here describe.

Yes, I'm older, but I have two daughters in their early 20's and I'm familiar with their dating scene and it's nothing like what people here describe.

The other thing that I don't get is how many posts are made while most of the English speaking world should be working. Are there a lot of shift workers on this sub?

There are groups of us that were raised in the West but with a collectivist background. I think we tend not to have the same experiences or thoughts as our countrymen, but I do think this is a biased group regardless.

TRP is literally the norm for 80% of the entire world, and was the norm of western society up until 50 years ago.

It wasn't until recently that we decided to pretend women are not hypergamous, and that relationships are not transactions, and that a man must not compete to win women, but "just be himself".

Please keep in mind that the perspectives here are extremely fringe when taken into a global context.... and people who take these terms and ideas on this sub seriously are mentally ill.

The reason that people want large sample sizes is because it's likelier that the sample is representative of the true population. This doesn't mean that a small sample is de-facto, wrong, there's just a higher risk of it being filled with outliers.

A small sample can be accurate to the whole, there's that one town in ohio or other midwest state that all the fast food joints test their new menu items and promotions in because is/was basically a perfect demographic recreation of the US.

What makes you think the perspectives here are outlandish compared to the population at large?
