I've never seen rp discuss male hypergamy (wanting younger attractive women no matter how the guy looks or his age) and male polygamy (wanting to sleep with different women, as many as he possibly can).

What...exactly... would we discuss about?

Men don't deny this. Specially not redpillers. The only reason women hypergamy is ever discussed is because many women deny it and obscure it.

This is not a pissing contest for whose mating strategies and prefereces have worse outcomes.

We all want the best partners. Those are the ones who are better than ourselves. But we cannot get them for commitment. We can only get partners who are on our level. But since we have different trait preferenes and weightings, we trade youth vs resources for example, and still end up EQUAL.

Hypergamy is with respect to certain traits, not with respect to overall mate value. Overall mate value in partners in equal on average, if there is no influence on free market dynamics or sex ratios.

People adapt their requirements in a mate to what they can get. WANTING somethig is irrelevant. GETTING something is what counts. People here are stuck in "wanting" and seem to forget that you need to look at the actual couples that form.

Everyone can shop on the mating market for a partner that is equal in overall mate value. How this mate value is put together by different traits, depends on the preferences, tradeoffs and personaly weightings, environmental factors, etc.

Limiting options is exactly what is needed, when you want to get the best partner possible.

Men are not all the same. There are different mating strategies and personalities. Some make for excellent long term partners, good fathers, etc. Others do not and they do not aim to be that. Men and women have fundamentally different goals in mating. Read up ob sexual conflict theory.

Birthrates? Men do not have a problem with fathering children. They have a problem with caring for them. Just as women do.

Paradoxically? It certainly limits their options, but historically most men had even less access to women than they do now. Now that women have been "sexually liberated", and women's expectations for a monogamous relationship exceed what most men can provide, it actually expands their options in comparison to having to satisfy one woman's expectations for the rest of their lives, when that knows they cannot leave the relationship.

With all the things expected of a man and all the standards expected or wanted by women. Why would you do all of that for a woman you don’t want. A woman that you aren’t overly attracted to. A woman that u just see as a friend and value her personality. An unattractive woman?

“Polygamy” is nuetral when a man does it. Meaning it can be negative or positive depending on the circumstances. It’s not inherently negative

I don’t have the bandwidth to put time and energy and deal with more than one woman full time

But I’m not going to dismiss the concept

Although I think a lot of men who support polygamy only think of fucking multiple women and not actually having to deal with them for life

Because there's no such thing. If you believe women are hypergamous, then they won't date down. If they're dating an older man, either he's an older Chad or he has other traits or resources that put him above just being an average older guy. I'm talking about women who date up 10+ years.

Men and women can't both be hypergamous because in order for someone to date up, it requires someone else to date down. We already know that Chad's have sex with average chicks so it should be clear which sex tends to date/sleep down and which is more likely to be hypergamous.

I already addressed the hypergamy aspect. As for polygamy, if you're high value enough to pull that off and get multiple women to agree to date you at the same time, then you're literally maximizing your options, not reducing them.

Hypergamy is fine if you can get what you want. I think it becomes a problem when some people are delusional about their own level and think the person they end up with is beneath them. Those people are unlikely to be happy in a relationship long term because of this.

I don't think polygamy is the best scenario to raise a child but I haven't seen the results of that firsthand, so can only guess. Some families in the middle East and Africa have multiple wives, so maybe it can work. Not 100% sure about that.

Not really. For example, when women get that 7 year itch and want to divorce their husbands, the now older dilf can go back into the dating pool, be polygamous and hypergamous and date multiple younger, hotter women again.

He can still raise his kids while doing this.
