If a woman is on the attractive side, like having great genetics in terms for facial structure, physique, muscle building capacity, athletic performace but with a femenine shape I think that most men would instinctually "forgive" a higher body count. If the woman is a hot athlete, men would overlook a more promiscuous past because they want to ensure their children get the better genetics.

But the men who are the angirest about body counts are usually the ones who can't get access to women with elite genetics anyway. They know deep down that their offspring will not have elite looks or physique. The only women they can get are average in terms of genetics. So they instead choose to talk about how a low body count and being "humble" is what matters in a woman.

Women who want children can just go to a sperm bank or get elite dna for their offspring easily otherwise and be single mothers by choice, so they don't really care about who men date in the end.
