Benefits for men:

  • No need to get actual or spend a dime on woman to get an orgasm.
  • No need to bother good women with risk of being shamed or humiliated.
  • Plenty of time for yourself instead of perusing relationships, social life, etc. and luxury to avoid other stuff that are probably not as worthy the hassle anymore in an institutionalized and atomized society.
  • Porn gets more real by the day, VRs promise a lot.

Benefits for women (by men using porn):

  • Women only get men that actually like real women and not only pornographic images.
  • Men who bother to ask women out are more likely to be socially adapt and comfortable.
  • Women are not bothered by creepy guys too sexually frustrated, as guys at least can release some of that frustration using porn.
  • Women who decide to do porn can earn some money.

The only downside I see is that there is no emotional connection for those men, but on the flip side relationships may also contribute to negative emotional states too, so it all evens out.

Another concern is how porn may be based on abuse on women. I agree on this, but considering we barely care about the Asian slave workers that make our plastic stuff and devices, porn seems to be the least of these concerns in a list of many other humanitarian abuses.
