The sad reality is that you will get exploited by a small proportion of women/people with that mentality. If you're okay with that risk, then go ahead.

I do think the majority of women are appreciative even though a not so small minority expect to be treated on dates.

As a response to your actual post, dating in urban areas tends to (in my experience) yield women who are more likely to want casual relationships, they're more likely to be talking to multiple men, and they seem to place safe sex relatively high on their priorities. In rural areas, women tend to want longer term and serious relationships, are less likely to be talking to other men, but don't really place safe sex at a premium. I'm more likely to meet a woman that wants kids in the near future in rural areas, while in urban areas they're more focused on a career.

well these people live in the sticks, u can tell by the way they talk about single people, their dating options, dating customs, and access to hook up scenes. the biggest problem people talk about in new york is having TOO Many options for both men and women, not a lack of options

I just moved to Dallas from LA and though I haven dated a little , yet, the girls I have interacted here are much more approachable and friendly than in LA, generally speaking. The guys on this thread complaining about spending $10-15 on a date, are like that because they need to ask mommy for money.

I kind of prefered women from suburban areas. They arent snobby big city girls, nor they are from undeveloped places in the middle of woods.

Cities up to 100 000 people with suburban areas of 150 000 people are usually down to earth people, because they are from both worlds.

You don't need to be spending $10-15 on a first date, you're definitely doing it wrong. Honestly you don't need to be shelling out any money on first dates, the kind of women you'd want to be with won't require that.

This is absolutely true for both men and women. Since I first entered the OLD scene ~9 years ago, I made a habit of changing my profile locations whenever I visited somewhere new. I still do this. The differences between rural/city, as well as by state, region, country, are pretty significant.

In general I just get annoyed at the expectation, not the actual act. If access to you in a romantic/sexual sense has to be purchased, what does that make you? Not interested in buying some random's time, I have more fun on my own.

I also live in DFW and my experience on Tinder was so bad I had to delete it. Are there decent women out there? Sure, but it is few and far between and it's not worth sifting through the pile of shit to find the rare diamond. I ran into so many toxic, mentally ill women on Tinder in DFW that I had to get off the app to save my own sanity.
