It's been eternity since online games started practicing teaming people up against relatively same-level opponents to make the games more engaging and encourage more people to join, play, and progress.

Would it help if fairly simple AI sorted people in online dating by attractiveness and popularity and encouraged people of roughly the same level to match with each other? Are there already OLD platforms that do it that I am not aware of?

By "Would it help" I mean would it make it easier to find casual sex and establish a long-term relationship, not "would it help OLD companies make some additional profit".

Edit: https://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments/yepcv4/skillbased_matchmakinglike_algorithms_in_online/itz50s9/ Thanks to platinirisms for right away giving great overview of currently- or formerly-used publicly known algorithms in OLD. Apparently lowest-tier (morally) strategy is on Tinder (after they forsook ELO score), while highest-tier is on Hinge.
