So I've been working a lot of factory operator temp jobs and during each one of them I tend to mingle with the older generation there, I ask them about whether they like their job and how it was back when they were my age, they unanimously tell me that it used to be harder work but more fun, a better group dynamic too. They are dissatisfied with current management and the increase in micro management of their free time, they say they aren't being listened to anymore and so they just do the bare minimum now, which is something they can't be speak out honestly or they won't make as much money as they do now.

Back then a normal employee could climb the ranks if they worked hard and for that reason all of the executives would know how it is on the work floor, nowadays you won't get to those positions without a specific degree, if you work in a factory now working harder isn't going to get you anything and most of your bosses have no idea how hard you're working or how stressful the job is, their pressure on you depends for the most part on which kind of numbers they have to reach.

The decrease in job satisfaction due to all this and the increase in work stress together are the most impactful influences on relationships, just think about it how much time you spend at work and how you feel coming home and having to deal with more domestic tasks that perhaps weren't shared by you and your partner because you're both sick of it and then you fight about money because that's the only thing of value that you get from that work.

There is so much pressure there, it's making its way down and now we start hating the other gender, we start thinking that we're better off being single, it starts with us and our emotional health and work is one of the largest influences over that.
