So people have been yapping about all these "types". People say things are like "He's not my type" and "Yeah, she's pretty good bro, that's exactly my type"

I don't believe in types. I'm a bit pessimistic, folks.

I believe you attract who you attract and that's how the sex market works. You don't really have that much choice. First of all, we are limited to the narrow set of our experiences, limited to our language or languages, and our inability to stay the same person with the same ideas for a lengthy period of time. Relationships are more accidental in nature and their maintenance depends on not only the mutual experience of the couple, but on the experiences each person has and with experiences, people change.

Type is in many ways the trendy little transliteration of the word "soulmate" except in a more narrow and categorized form. It's an affirmation of an ideal. Sometimes people stick close to a "type" because they are afraid of things beyond their comfort zone. But when you expand, you really see that your cute little categorizations were just idealism.

There are some people out there who would just date anybody. Some people experiment. I have a friend who took a tour of Asia and Russia and was just fucking around on dating apps the whole time. And look at women. What does "type" even mean to women? They have the man they stick with and the man they flirt with. And who is to say that our type isn't created out of some roughly patched ideal?

Take a look at these videogames men, for example, some of them will say that their "type" are gamer girls. But then again, it's a bit close-minded on their part to just view a woman based on their cute little hobbies. But men do that. A lot of men love these dolled-up squeaky women. Some men are more open-minded and don't believe in types, they just sort of go with the flow. This is something more common in younger men. And there's plenty of women like this too and they have their way of doing it as well. One is reminded of women like Mata-Hari, Coco Chanel, Marilyn Monroe, Wendi Deng, etc...

In fact, I would even argue that the shrewdest people in the sex market are men between 16-29 and women in their thirties-early forties. Let's take a look at Macron and his wife Brigitte. What an interesting pair and yet look what kind of man he turned out to be. The random theater kid dating his teacher. Yep.

The people have types really miss out on something, they miss out on having the opportunity to experiment, to take an adventure, to get out of their comfort zone. They keep deluding themselves with this fixed idea of "types" that they never really try something beyond it.

Once you abolish the idea of "types", you suddenly can see people on a more individual basis and while yes, they do share some good qualities with you, don't forget that they still have bad qualities, you just don't know it yet. The sexy guy with a Porsche may be really cheap or really dim-witted. The sexy gamer girl could be some girl with anxiety syndrome or some mild form of schizophrenia.

If you arrange other people into "types" you put yourself into a category that you won't be able to get a full picture of. It's all about interpretation.
