So first I want to give my definition so the talk doesn’t get derailed. By toxic masculinity, I mean the perpetuation of society to attribute certain qualities to men and then scrutinized them for not fitting within it. The most important traits are hyper aggressiveness, unemotional, and problem solvers in all aspects. I can’t think of other but please bring them if you can.

It seems that from this I can start to expand. It seems like when men start to talk about issues the major response is “man up”, “figure it out” or “ get it together”. With these responses it leads to men not getting the help they need because they are expected to present the solutions themselves and can’t complain about it or express emotion. From this it seems like a lot of men express their emotions in the predominant way they are taught which is aggressively. Which always ends up bad. It seems like society doesn’t want to really listen to men when they express themselves and even I feel kinda gay saying this. I have in the past thought of some of my friends as pussies for expression their feels which can be pretty bad as I reflect back.

I personally think that this is the reason for a lot of incels and MGTOW men as well. They seem to me to be the personification of it which is sad because they get snatched up by the alt-right movement. This is because most people reject them. I don’t think I can blame people for doing this, but these men end up expressing things in the manner they are expected which is aggressively. I was just wondering what other men thought about this as well as women.

Edit: So it’s pretty obvious that the name triggers people. But for the sake of discussion can people just grapple with the idea instead of just saying it some feminist propaganda.
