I know that we all have different viewpoints about sexual norms and gender social interactions but I wanted to hear out ideas about raising the future generations. If you were to have a daughter, what are the important lessons needed for her to have a happy, successful life?

I'll start, based on my beliefs on men/women:

  • You can be as smart and capable as any man or woman.
  • You should strive to be the best in your chosen field
  • Don't be afraid to head into male-dominated fields. It won't be easy but the glory will be double; one for the triumph, and one for being a trailblazer.
  • You should never feel ashamed of your life decisions, as long as a) you are not harming others or b) harming yourself
  • Some may value you for your looks, others for your brain, but most important of all is how you value yourself
  • Every person deserves decency and your respect. They only lose those if they disrespect you, and then you shouldn't hold hate but rather pity their lack of basic human empathy.
