The AF/BB theory totally misses that:

  • some women will FWB men that they wouldn't dream of marrying while waiting and hoping for a man of their dreams. The FWB/plated man is just a stand in while she's looking for a man who excites her sexually and emotionally for a LTR. This is common.

  • many more women would like to FWB a nice guy for the sex but are too worried that he'll develop feelings for her or he'll feel possessive towards her. So she has a string of unsatisfying relationships, in which she still hurts the guy when she breaks up with him.

  • only about 20% of women are having casual sex with 20% of men. Some of these women will be having AF sex. But that certainly doesn't describe most women.

  • other men looking on are jealous of that 20% of men. And to them it seems like ALL the women are throwing themselves at AFs in their 20s. But it ain't so.

  • Most women have little interest in AFs. He's just a body and a dick. He might also have a dick personality. She's unlikely to orgasm in a sexual encounter with him and unlikely to gain much in sleeping with him.

  • Sometimes some women have sex with a player because he's an easier way of having casual sex, because she knows he'll go away afterwards.

  • girls are maturing and growing up during the teen to 25 years. Some of the guys we dated we thought were good looking back then, but we're not physically attracted to now. Maybe we liked emos or bmx'ers or band members or nerdy guys or whatever during our teen years and we don't now.
