For hypotheticals sake, let's say there's no public method of accessing the referral either. It's a QR code that you can consensually* give access to people once you feel as though you're comfortable with them but they only recieve your current referral version.

When people update their own referrals they can pick and choose those who they've already given out a referral to and which of them get to access the updated one.

Sarah has a code referral code. She feels comfortable with Bob. She gives Bob her code. Does Bob has a refferal to her (which is useless as they've already met IRL and refferal is when person A shows person B towards person C. as A reffered B to C. A can't reffer B to A as B is already at A). Or the code that Sarah has containt info of other people, so by giving her code to Bob, she gave Bob access to the contacts of other people?
