I'm a 20F college student, financially independent except for being on my dad's Medicare, and working odd hours at minimum wage jobs to survive. I have never been so lucky. My life has never been so luxurious. And I mean it.

Someone like me has no problem skipping meals, wearing old clothes and buying everything second hand, living in dingy apartments, etc. I don't want a ring or a wedding. I don't want a house over 150k, or a honeymoon. I honestly just want to stay home and garden and give him a self-sufficient home run on my own domestic labor. I am not willing to sacrifice complete financial securitt for "stuff".

My one fear is that, when this wonderful and well-bred HVM marries me in a couple years like he keeps saying he plans to, that I will drag his lifestyle down. He grew up vacationing in Europe every summer. He went to a private school. His two parents are "respected members of the community".

A big part of me is not willing to give up the safety and security that comes with frugality. Another part is worried about the consequences of pursuing what he deems a "lower quality" lifestyle (even though it would be better than anything I've ever experienced)
