I'm 19 and still living with my mother and stepdad (I'm a uni student). I met my boyfriend when I was 18 (he was 28) and we've been exclusive after two months of talking. He moved closer to me (he lived about two hours away) specifically to be with me and I don't regret anything in our relationship. My mom however, is very skeptical. She claims that no older guy would date a younger girl without experience (he was my first kiss, first serious boyfriend, everything) without there being some underlying issue. While I don't think this is true, I also believe that parents are generally wiser than their children. She's encouraged me to "play the field" first before settling down since this will give me more experience and better be able to pick a partner. Is some of what she's saying right and should I be worried that there's some other issue with my boyfriend for dating me?
