my (19F) boyfriend (22M) doesnt/barely talks to me when either one of us are on family vacations. ive tried to be understanding because i know vacations are for relaxation but it rubs me the wrong way. he gets super quiet or distant right before, and this has happened to me more since ive been on multiple vacations since we starting dating 2 years ago.

hes has cheated on me when i went on a trip in March 2022, which i found out July 2022. maybe thats why im anxious. and we’ve had conversations about my need of limited convo to keep my anxiety away many times, ending with me crying for feeling bad of asking for too much. im trying to heal from the cheating of last year but when he does this it makes me VERY upset and anxious. he doesnt update me or respond to my updates, doesnt send pictures, etc. everytime ive been on a trip, whether alone or with my family, i constantly update him.

i may be overreacting, i called him 20 min ago and ended it quick because i felt anger building up and ended the call and he called 10 secs after. i was kind of sassy, ill admit, but he told me that “im on vacation so i am not going to ask you anything else” when i said “we can talk about it later” and ended the call. im not the best of reading the room. any suggestions?
