You can meet men anywhere. Try to do things that put you physically out there to meet them. Dress nice, pretty, but not too overdone. Dress feminine. Do your hair so it looks clean. When you go out, be happy. Smile, not in a cheesy way but in a life is great way. Go to places like the bookstore, out at a shopping mall, classes at the gym (especially like cross fit gyms but you can also do a boot camp which is less intense). It may take some time but men approach women they like. Don’t ask them out but if you see someone you like let them know they can approach you by maybe looking at them and smiling subtly.

The only thing I would advise is to not meet men online.

College. You're at the prime age to meet men but many around your age are not relationship-minded. I'm not saying it's impossible but it is a tall order. Other options are like-minded hobby groups, co-ed sports, volunteering or work. The last one can be a slippery slope. That adage "don't shit where you eat" exists for a reason but many married couples originally met at work.

Best way is to find an group activity that has a mix of men & women. It will give you a common ground starter to conversation as you both like said activity, which should help your shy/anxious nature.

I started ballroom / swing dance at 25 as an overweight anti-social guy, it helped me with a lot in life to become a better person so I always recommend it. A plus side for you would be these types of dances allow for causal but paired short interactions. Men will mostly ask you to dance so no pressure on you. Lastly, wearing things like dresses fits the event and presents you in a very feminine way.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter much what activity you pick as long as you are interested in doing it and it draws both sexes. Hope that helps.

Local businesses/mom-and-pop’s stores like family-owned grocery, butcher, baker, bbq place, etc. Small cafés and restaurants.

Pawn shops, local tool supply/repair, local computer repair, bike shop. Places a dude might trust to work on his stuff when he can’t work on it himself.

Bookstores, office supply, park (especially when there’s some small events going on), museums with war exhibits, pick-up volleyball at the beach, public basketball courts, soccer fields at the park when it’s off season/no actual games going on.

Edit: REI, Bass Pro, all of the local fishing supply stores, camping/hiking/canoeing/kayaking/scuba/swim stores etc........

Just make a lotta eye contact with a guy you’re interested in… he’ll get the message.

In theory you can meet men anywhere, as long as you’re letting him approach you, you could find a guy in a supermarket too.

All the guys I was interested in I met through mutual friends, so I recommend that. It’s easier because as long as you don’t have weird friends, chances of him being dangerous are lower and you can also get an idea of what kind of person he is

I met my boyfriend while playing a co-ed sport. I’d say it’s a great way to meet people and make friends! Even if you don’t meet someone you really like on your team, by making friends they might know someone they could introduce you to, or you might meet someone on another team.

Also, try volunteering. I work with volunteers and just the other day there were four super-cute, smart men with good jobs who volunteered with us. Aim for evenings and weekends to find men who work day jobs.

In a covid world: dating Apps. Just look for the serious ones because Tinder for instance is known to be a sex App. I know people who got bfs/gfs on Tinder but that’s an exception.

And stay safe out there! Make sure the guy seems nice over text/video chat first, and when going out on dates make sure you share your location with a trusted friend.
