This week was a mess on so many levels:

Missed out on some income by overcharging a client.
Spent 3 days with my FWB over.
Skipped all 3 of my weekly workouts.
Haven't been sleeping enough.
Haven't followed my meal plan nor been consistent with my supplements.
Haven't been eating enough protein.
Been inconsistent with my eczema medication.
Energy levels are trashed by a 20-hour work shift yesterday.
I fapped. Granted I didn't use porn, it's not helpful when I'm rebooting either.
I overspent. Bought some crap I didn't need.

First post. Swallowed the red pill less than two weeks ago. Have/had really bad anxiety. Finally got up the courage to get a gym memebership yesterday. I've spent months researching good workout programs, and now I finally get to put them to the test. And it's not the "bro" program where half the shit are curls. Squat and deadlift are my two favorite exercises so far. Starting to eat healthier, more fruits and vegetables. Loss another 5 pounds this week. Need to lose a lot of weight. There's a lot of shit to digest on this subreddit. Started with the basic "just lift," eating healthier, and trying not to be a beta orbiter. Good start, but still have a lot of work to do. I'm sick of my past beta ways.

Success:

awesome BJJ classes. Kicked ass and learned some cool moves. Got a stripe. Got ass beated by higher belts but that's a given
changed my gym routine, going for higher reps. Great workouts and huge pump.
finished something I've been delaying for 1 month in my business.
paid some loans

Failure:

failed to adjust my sleep time (going to bed & waking up earlier)
tinder date with a fatty. Looked a solid 9 in photos, a weak 5 IRL. I don't even know how that's possible. Learned some lessons though.

Week 3. I’ve been slowly trying to improve my sleep going from 6 to 8hrs. Had a meeting with a potential employer, and my confidence and personality really shined. The interaction concluded with him essentially telling me I got the job if I so desired it. Started running. My goal is to hit 5km in 25min; I did it in 30. Lifting has been more consistent and my diet is shaping up. I need to loose 17lbs by mid-May. Haven’t talked to as much women this week and still haven’t gotten a second plate. Grind time.

Today's a good day so I'll make it my first day posting here. I'm not sold on everything TRP is selling. But the general mentality that this is a place to help men help themselves is something I can get behind.

That being said, let's do a cap on where I am, how I got here, and where I wanna go.

Right now I'm sitting in a beach front hotel in Galveston debating whether I want to go to a bar tonight. Starting conversations can be difficult for me whether I'm talking to a guy or a girl so I don't know if I want to go solo to a bar.

4 months ago I was delivering pizza in Seattle trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. Then my dad gave me a call. He said he could get me hired on as a pipefitters helper. I saw the opportunity to learn a trade skill and make more money and made the move to Louisiana. All I have to do is deal with my step mom. Should be manageable as long as I can continue to swallow my pride.

Financially I think I made a slight mistake recently. I bought a new truck. I can afford it, but I think I should have gotten a place and saved up some money first. My mistake was my impatience and letting the salesman lead me too much, along with lack of thought into better alternatives for checking for my financing options. The only bright side is that the financial obligation will keep me motivated in work.

Love life is non existent. My few experiences with women have thrown me off on whether companionship is something I really want. It seems like a lot of work and risk for a reward that is...lack luster. It's not exactly that I don't still desire women. I just don't desire the kind of relationship that women seem to.

There's also the problem with my self esteem and depression. Much better than where they used to be, but it's a ghost that just won't seem to go away. At this point I'm thinking of therapy. But that's gonna have to be shelved until after I get a place.

The plan right now is to become a certified pipefitter. Then use this skill to launch myself further. Ideally I'd like to own my own business some day. We'll see what opportunities come my way.

I have no idea how I found this sub, but I did, and after reading the odd post, I realized how I'd been thinking red pill for years, but living as blue pill as it gets. I'm 29 years old and I'm thoroughly disgusted at how beta I've been for my whole life. Coworker and I starting on the process to develop a business
In the interim have a job interview for another tech startup. Need to still make ends meet while drafting the idea.
Shot two videos for youtube with my band
sent off another cover I did to get mixed
My band as well is almost ready to release another original song. More or less the hard work is paying off!
Getting closer to my weight loss goal (15 of 20 pounds)
Got back to my workout schedule after having the flu.
Have another drum student coming to me so extra money plus it's super gratifying to teach
And cherry on top, went out to see a friends band play last night, ended up getting a number too.

Just gonna enjoy seeing the family for Easter today now!

Another week of eating clean, finished my creatine loading period from my college sophomore year creatine supply. (Is it still effective after 2 years?) Got some more taking 5 a day. Got one phone number of a girl at a coffee shop, but I felt like I talked to formally and not sexual at all. Got her phone number, she was friendly said she had a bf. Actively tried to talk to more people.

Slipped up on the business Ive been working on, and haven't been working as hard as I could.

Also been lagging on setting two good habits, getting up early and learning Spanish.

Two weeks ago i started ignoring an HB8 i used to orbit religiously. She hmu yesterday afternoon and i just kept giving her one word replies, the part that shocked me is that she kept trying to talk to me regardless. Really resonated with some of the theories i read here.

didn't use duo lingo at all

At the end of the day after writing it down. It's been a pretty epic week......lately I've learned to stop caring about hiding my living situation which was given me Aa . Fuck it been broke all my life don't know why I'm acting new about it.

We all take this shit too seriously. A few posts have resonated with me lately: don't be emotionally attached and talk to more girls - solutions to 90% of the problems I'm facing, and the same for most of us on this thread too. Outcome Independence and Approach - do the simple things right.

I've made improvements this past week by giving myself a break. With the amount of time I put into Uni and reading my brain was tired as fuck, so counting calories and working out suffered. Had a week off, did zero mentally taxing work. It's been great. So rest your brain!

Also, listening to motivational speakers on Youtube helped a ton. I'd been listening to more spiritual stuff before. It completely kills your passion if you get too deep, so I'm certainly more focused now.

I finally got my letter of completion - now ready to graduate from two degrees (law/arts).

Not too much else - worked 3 nights, lifted weights a few times, did my third salsa lesson, submitted another article to a magazine I write for (for $30-40 a piece), bought Easter Eggs.

Going overseas in about June, but delayed due to need to have an operation in May. So just working part-time for now, doing some salsa, lifting weights and learning Chinese.

Pros: - Did my first muscle-up today after struggling for 3 months. - Bench 132lbs 4RM @ 5'11", 131lbs bodyweight (I know, I'm trying to bulk on 200ish calorie surplus; solely on eggs and oats.) - Improved eye contact. - Decide to be more "outcome independent". (?)

Cons: - Been 1 week since my bachelor thesis start, haven't touched it. - Still no cold approach. - Still No-NoFap for even a week. - Harder to focus while meditating for the past week.

So I've been reading this thread for a year now and ever since my recent breakup from like 2 months ago, I've caught myself in the buffer zone between red pill and blue pill. I believe a lot of the ideologies this thread preaches, but I'm still hung up about this girl cuz I fell in love with her. Honestly, I want it to stop and I could any advice. Commenced monk mode

I moved far away from home and I live in a state where I don't know anyone except my housemate. Got a job with an actual salary, although a small one, I have benefits - its a start. I got curbed by my ex-gf two years ago and have been in my all time low. It took a long time for me to get over the anger and disappointment in learning about the true nature of women, and how it does not mold into my once held belief in the ideal relationship. I'm finally realizing I need to have my shit together and that I need to acquire finances in order to get the type of women I want - hot and submissive. I currently hold the belief that financial power is the number one attractor of women, and it trumps physique and social status. Although, I'm working in all aspects of self improvement, fiance is my priority as of now.

Hardest thing about monk mode is that, I've made myself into a extremely social person via the help of the PUA community, and it conflicts with my desire for a social life, which I know I'll have to sacrifice for the time being in order to acquire the type of success I would like. (PUA is where I originally started my path to self-improvement, but I wasn't prepared for the constant emotional abuse, and the perpetual comparison my ex was making to all her orbiters. She was one of those, "I only get along with boys" type. TheRedPill seem to fit my current needs in terms of self improvement.)

My strength are good grooming and style, I'm a relatively young 25 year old, though I'm not jacked, I'm pretty confident and proud of my body and my looks. My biggest weakness by far is my current financial position, and future prospects. It is my biggest source of my insecurity, and hence it needs some work. My priority lay in increasing my stats in intelligence, and credentials to acquire lucrative pay. Would like to increase my pay from 30k to 60k in 5 years.

My goals right now is to pass my credential exam for a position I would like in a future for a secure financial stability.

haven't had sex in 4 months, but I'll get it when I deserve it.

Been going to the gym for about 3 months, and have gained approximately 13 pounds in that duration. Tracking my progress on a notepad, and my eating habits. I'm finally beginning to have some physique that originally helped me get my first gf, who branch swung to someone else of a higher caliber in terms of financial success and parental pedigree (He has rich parents. I was raised by a single mother from a poverty background. Masculinity is something I've struggled with since I was 10 when my dad passed, and I'm finally starting to realize it's importance in attracting women.) Anyway, I'm 5'8", and currently 135-138 pounds the last time I checked. My goal is to reach 160 pounds and start cutting to about 150 pounds. Self-imposed deadline of 6 months to attain this goal seems reasonable to me, with a bit of a ambitious reach mixed in.

Currently trying to abstain from masturbating. Not sure how I think about the movement, and I have mixed thoughts on it. However, porn has been a distraction for me lately, and why not stop masturbating to see how it goes along with it. I used porn as a coping mechanism, and escapism so I want to curb that now. I have not jacked off in 5 days.

Right now I see girls, and social life a distraction and putting most of my time and energy in to the gym, grinding at work, and studying. BUT, on the contrary to this belief I've actually friendzoned myself on purpose with a girl that I have an interest in. It's a stellar idea, but I do have a good time when I'm hanging out with her. Hard part is that I want to monkey fuck her, but she has a bf and I'm trying to figure out what I should do on a moral stand point. If she was just a regular guy, then I would be friends with her without any issue.. She happens to be not a bro, but a cute girl, and that's where the trouble begins.

I'm posting here to keep myself accountable, and pitch into this wonderful subreddit that keeps me grounded. I would like to support this community, and in turn be supported by it.

Fitness

Began new lifting program I mentioned in my last post. It's moving along nicely. Hoping to finally fix my bench plateau. Really like keeping workouts shorter (~ 1 h) by cutting out bullshit. Will do wonders for lifting sustainability.

Switched gyms not that long ago to a more "hard core" basement barbell club. That atmosphere is great and I get a lot of (unsolicited, yet appreciated) advice from more advanced lifters.

My cut to 15 % BF is still on, think I might be hitting a plateau soon though. Still very motivated as I've seen a little bit of ab action haha. I know what I need to do (i.e. hit my macros) so just gonna buckle down and get to it. Did one 5k run one day to burn some extra kalories. Open to doing this more, as long as it doesn't significantly impact my lifting.

Did one MMA session, it was great. Did not manage to do two, for a number of good and bad reasons. Still my long term goal though. If all goes according to plan I will be switching over to a local MMA gym soon. My current one is good but too far away.

University

Prepping for my exam. I feel less anxious this time compared to last. Hope I'm not unconciously hamstering myself in to thinking that I can get away with anything but hard work. Need to take the exam either way.

Relationships

Lost v card, just about haha. Sex was like 0,2 s and not great.

Went to a house party and chatted a bit. Need to close more and keep it in mind. Right now I just sort of let the convo die naturally. I'm gonna try and take a # when it's going well instead, unless I see myself getting more that night (realistically that won't happen very often). Got one snapchat from the party anyhow. Did follow up on it and it might not be a dud. Need to pump those approach numbers and closes though. Will go out once this coming week with this in mind.

Online dating still shite.

General

Been trying to end my daily shower(s) with 1-2 mins of cold water. I like it.

Fapped too much (no porn) but I need to keep it to twice a week at most. Will try going for a week-long streak now.

Got one job interview for summer. They are to get back to me. Don't know if the job is any good or if I'll even get it. Did hand in lots of resumes.

I've come to the conclusion that as good as practicing scales, techniques, and chords for the instruments that have chords can be for mastering some aspect of music, learning songs by ear or sheet music depending on the individual, playing over songs, or making songs, and the emotion that comes with those things and the individual, emotional choice in those things is what keeps people practicing. Its really easy to get frustrated if you're focused on something beyond your skill level, and people who get skill focused can lose out on techniques that bring more emotion to music. So I think practicing either as a means of therapy or fun, is more important than practicing to mainly get more skill which leads to ignoring your emotions, followed by intense frustration, and in my case, anger at asians.

Other than practicing instruments and having fun with music I'm trying out CuriosityStream and I've been binge watching documentaries, I think constantly learning new things everyday really does make you saner.

I had a pretty good week, but there's always room for improvements.

Pros: Ate clean for the most part, a couple of cheat meals but nothing diet-derailing. Drank way less soda than I normally do and upped my water intake as a result.

Didn't miss a workout.

Had some good feedback on my second week at my new job.

Stayed on top of my financial goals.

Cons: Still trying to figure out why my sleep has been fucked up lately. I'll get at the very least 7 hours every night, and I'll still be tired. It's probably due to the quality of the sleep, not the amount in this case, and is probably a result of the increased stress of the new job compared to my last one.

Did miss a client email this week, and almost fucked up a project as a result. However, they followed up a couple days later to check up on it. Saw that one, and dropped everything to get it done ASAP. Client was overall happy with what we gave him, and boss didn't say anything (he saw all emails) but was also out of the office...so no harm, no foul? Still going back and forth on whether or not I proactively bring it up when he's back in, but the lesson here is to be more vigilant of my inbox to ensure this doesn't happen again.

I had a good week professionally. got a job interview, earned an award for my research, and might get a coordinator position (im trying to get my application up for med school)

I had great vibes throughout friday but literally threw away my chances with a cute girl. She has been eyeing me since last year; ive never said a word to her but she said she has seen me in the residence halls and even knew who i was dating back then. She hit me with the "are yall still dating?" Right off the bat. Months ago she also followed me on IG randomly and accidently liked one of my old photos, which shows she was stalking. I was honestly caught off guard to all the IOIs i was getting and it was like a textbook example and i choked.

She is fine as hell and would be a great girl to dance with, but she said she didnt like dancing. I forced it and tried to dance with her and didnt get any push pull going and lost any value I had. If i had to do it over again , id probably hit her with something simple like "youre cute. I want to get to know you, lets go outside and talk." ALSO, i would be more direct because I knew she wanted it; so I could have been more confident. It was like the elephant in the room was that she was feeling me and I didnt embrace it.

Better luck next time. I have 4 tests next week but If i get my hw done im gonna go out solo tonight.
