I’m currently in HS and this super popular girl I used to have a thing with attacked my reputation at a time when I had no social proof or frame to speak of.

Been monk mode for a while now just working on myself. It’s been especially difficult to build my social standing back up. I don’t really get invited to things anymore, people in the halls give me bad looks.

I have made a few friends recently at neighboring schools who don’t know this girl, and they all seem to appreciate my presence, so I think I’ve made improvements thanks to TRP.

Any tips on building myself up at my base school? Prom is coming up and right now I have no means of going.

This is a question specifically to former AFCs/beta folks of TRP that turned their life around and became alpha or at least 'not beta'. People that were good with women relatively early can answer as well, but I think that being on both sides for a considerable time will make for a better discussion.

My question is, did you or do you ever feel like you are compensating for lost time when you did not get to bang/date women, by going out with and banging as many women as possible? And does it feel hollow to do this?

I feel like I am somehow going through this. That the women are just feathers in my cap and i need to have as many feathers in my cap as possible. Even when I'm in a relationship/dating, i feel the need to be in a position to attract as many women as possible. I don't cheat when I am dating but I still feel the need to have that affirmation that "yeah, I have got what it takes, and being in a relationship has not changed me back to my old state. I could bang her IF i wanted to". In most of the cases, I don't even want to go out with these women. But the knowledge that I am desirable is a nice ego boost. And I wonder if i'm doing anything wrong. And if this is unhealthy for my long term health.

Do people on here underestimate the “average” guy. I swear I always see posts about how if you lift and groom you are “automatically top 20%”, and how the average guy is some overweight bluepill chode.

Personally, I have not noticed this . Maybe because I’m a recent big college grad and work in a major city in a pretty good job I’m surrounded by “upper tier young, attractive people” but everywhere I look I see guys who lift, take care of their shit, have good jobs, and good frame , etc.... it seems people underestimate average.

Balance

I'm having the hardest time balancing all the tenants of TRP.

Lift and Diet vs. Social circle and Game

I have made leaps and bounds of improvements in my lifting and diet, to the point that I'm just about there. But when I go out to socialize and game, I tend to find it hard to track calories and minimize alcohol consumption, especially if everybody else is consuming more than you.

Stoicism vs. Positive Energy

I moved to a new big city and put myself out there to a ton of new social circles. What I'm finding difficult to do is keeping a stoic aura while maintaining positive energy/vibes. If I display too much stoicism, it comes off as low energy and shy. But if I try to up the energy and good vibes, it comes off as wanting and needy.

Any advice to find and maintaining balance between these?

I might be blind but this is really weird and I cant read exactly what is going on. So quick background, I'm in HS and I would consider myself popular, people recognize me and randoms say hi to me at parties (I live in NYC, pretty popular for my area ;) ). So this began this year, I started nofap and trp reading to further establish my life (trying to stop using smart supplements ;) but, I had this new relationship arise. I pretty much was super awkward through the end of college. Just completely lacking confidence and self esteem. I took a few years off after college and am about to finish my first year of law school. While my social skills are miles better than they were I still have some of the same problems. I offend people and can't seem to develop close relationships despite inside really craving friendship and also connections with women.. perhaps the craving for it is the problem and I need to be OK without it. I play pick up sports with the other "alpha" guys in my class but I don't click totally with them. They literally talk about going to study after class and I am right there and they do not invite me. Hey, so im a 22 year old male and I have never had a girlfriend, still a virgin. I think im pretty good looking, and confident that im not ugly.

I haven't really been dating or even trying to make moves on girls since like high school cause since then i have been struggling with a chronic illness and i was always really skinny. In the last year or so I have gotten significantly healthier and am pretty fit and built now compared to the average guy. And they were both really attractive which makes me really feel like an idiot now, but i just hated the idea of my skinny ass being with someone so attractive and had thoughts of how im not good enough for it.

Now Im really happy with where im at.. but i just still have this really bad anxiety about attempting to change anything. Ive tried tinder but ive probably only been discoverable for like a total of two minutes so far cause i feel weird doing it, and think ill get judged if i see someone i know, so i shut it off pretty quickly.

I've been a long time lurker on and off for years through my different reddit accounts... I always end up deleting my account because of me getting too involved with reddit.

Here's the story - former high school super athlete and swole as fuck. Meathead level of working out in the gym twice a day, lifting hot/hard/heavy. No problem getting laid back then - was spinning plates and lifting plates.

Then comes college. Stopped working out. Join a fraternity. Eat, drink, be merry - total hedonism.

I got fucking FAT. Went from 235 to 350 lbs over the course of 3 years. Went from alpha male getting plenty of pussy to being the designated fat friend.

Self confidence tanked - vicious cycle of positive feedback loop (the more I ate > the more depressed I got > the more depressed I got > the more I ate).

Fast forward to now. Senior in college graduating in 4 weeks. No longer in the fraternity - live a healthier lifestyle. I've managed to cut down to 311 just by a clean diet and getting 10,000 steps a day on my Fitbit.

I know that if I want to lose serious poundage and get back to my former self, I need to hit the gym. But I just keep hitting a wall about going to the gym. I have so much anxiety about it - knowing that I have not lifted in 4 years and will be the fat guy who is as weak as fuck. I keep telling myself "I'm gonna go tomorrow" - but it's been like 3 months and I still haven't worked up the courage to go.

Looking at old photos of myself is depressing - I see a young man full of ambition and getting all the pussy he wants... not a fat fucking degenerate who is too much of a puss to go to the gym (what I have become).

Any advice bros on how to get over this hump and get back to the iron?

Now, some info about me: I'm 29, a virgin, have recently gone back to university after dropping out to chase my dream and that not working out. To say that I'm a beta male would be a compliment at this point. And here's the thing: I have had oneitis from a very young age. In secondary grammar school I refused to go out with girls because even then I just wanted that one girl (the unicorn) with whom I could be happy for life. Point is: I could have had some girlfriends, but chose not to due to chasing (or rather, waiting for) the unicorn. And even after getting red pilled, I still can't move on from this. What passes for women nowadays is just not enough for me. Without going into detail, my ideal partner would be a lady from some 100-150 years ago and I refuse to lower my standards. Does that mean that I'm just royally fucked?

On a somewhat different note, how are you supposed to have a family according to the red pill way of life? As far as I understand it, alphas don't settle because all women bring to the table is sex and they've got that in abundance, and betas settle to get sex in return for providing. I refuse to settle with (and for) some used-up has been, as harsh as that may sound. But can an alpha reign in his instinct to mate with lots of women and settle for one? Can a woman give up hypergamy to settle for one man (maybe after being red pilled)? What does a healthy LTR look like and can it be life-long?
