As we all know, us humans need water in order to survive. If you are reading this, then you are obviously consuming water in some form or another, or else you'd be dead (no shit). But even though you are alive and able to read this, you still may not be drinking an "optimal" amount of water.

The recommended water intake for a grown man is give or take 3 liters (13cups). When I first realized this I also realized I wasn't nearly drinking this amount. So I started chugging down water and man did I feel a difference. These are my anecdotal experiences with increasing my water intake over a longer time period:

  • Headaches disappeared

  • Concentration got better

  • Skin got smoother/a lot of my acne disappeared

  • Water retention/bloating was reduced drastically. Abs and face are more chiseled and defined.

  • Better sleep

The difference I felt when I increased my water intake was day and night and I would really recommend you to try the same.

Edit* As a comment said, you need water LIQUID. Soups, vegetables, fruits and milk also contain water just to name a few. This means that you don't need to get your recommended amount of water through only pure water.
