I've noticed a lot of comments in threads lately about whether being 30+ is really the peak SMV time of your life that Rollo Tomassi famously laid out in his male vs. female SMV chart.

A lot of guys are wondering why they aren't drowning in pussy now that they should be hitting their peak or realizing that sometimes they can get rejected by a younger girl for it being too much of an age difference.

There is also a popular thread on the front page right now where the poster basically says if you didn't have an awesome college sex life you'll turn into a man child at 30 and you're a loser for still going to clubs and hitting on younger girls.

I just turned 30 a few months ago and I can see a difference in the way people react as opposed to saying I'm 29. It's similar to the psychology of pricing something $9.99 instead of $10.00. In the USA in particular it seems to come with a lot of expectations and baggage.

There are legitimate concerns and situations you'll have to deal with. Some guys will bust your balls for hitting on a younger girl. Your friends GF's and wives will try and shame you into dating someone your age. You'll barely see some of your best friends who have kids, etc.

The point though is this is your fucking life and you don't have to let any of that bullshit affect you.

I for one am not ready to resign myself to Saturday nights in sweatpants watching Netflix while a chick fast approaching the wall shovels ice cream down her throat and talks about plans to pick out curtains all day Sunday.

I had a good college friend visit me this weekend. He lamented about all his friends moving out of the city, buying houses and settling down. He's feeling the pressure of falling behind but as he talked about catching up with them he didn't sound excited he sounded depressed.

Then I was regaling him with tales of the trip to Europe I just got back from where the oldest girl I hooked up with was 23. His eyes lit up the whole time and he even talked about joining me in some of my future adventures (although I won't hold my breath).

The massive advantage to being 30 or older is you've had time to put an interesting life together. Most guys who are 22-25 are starting at the bottom of the barrel again and don't have shit going on in their lives.

If you follow TRP and continually work on yourself then you should be able to kill it in your 30's. It doesn't mean everything is on easy mode or you won't have problems but that's life.

I had a great college experience (in a frat, played guitar in a band) but when both of those things ended and I move away from most of my friends I really struggled with a loss of identity. It took me awhile to find my career path, I put on weight, etc. I'd say 22-28 were not great years for me.

I set out on a path to self improvement and along the way found TRP and the last two years have been awesome.

I have my own business, have traveled for most of the past year, read books instead of watch TV, play music and every girl I've hooked up with in the past year has been 25 or younger.

Let's hear from some other guys going through this transition. Is there anything particular you've been struggling with? More importantly, how are you planning on continuing to kick ass?
