Most guys like me consider some 90-95% of women their age to be attractive.

This seems shockingly high to me. Even during my high school and college days I don't remember the girls being anywhere near that attractive.

Case in point, I was talking with a friend of mine, giving him advice with women. My girlfriend was listening in, and thought she knew how to get him laid. Basically, it involved buying flowers for her, that sort of thing.

I told her point blank, "But I never bought you flowers." In fact, I didn't do any of the things she thought would work.

I told her I was a sociopath on our first date. I never called her. I never texted her until she texted me first. Didn't tell her I loved her until three months in, after she was already obsessing about me.

Where do women get this stuff?

MGTOWS aren't isolating themselves from women. They're choosing not to get married or be in traditional relationships.

Reasons why the red pill exist:

Men are realizing that marriage is a huge risk that they don't have to take.
Men want to be free from social expectations as much as women do
A lot of the information guys receive when they're children is to make them less of a "threat" to girls, the problem with this is that guys grow up not realizing they've been taught to be betas
It's becoming more obvious that women have an obsession with fear/their victim status and men are starting to see that it's all nonsense
From teenage boys to old men, people are getting fed up with the bad habits that women are encouraged to have
More people are starting to notice that when men talk about fucked up things that happen to them they are laughed at or made to seem crazy
Men get told to treat their gf/wives like queens then get surprised that their SO doesn't respect them because they see that as a sign of weakness
Men are tired of seeing their sexuality being demonized
When men are realized that being assertive and putting yourself first isn't a bad thing
The more feminist act crazy the more guys start to question feminism
Guys realize that women hate and love things at the same time (the girl that hates her boyfriend for being such an asshole also loves him for getting her emotions going)
Men don't want to settle for less sex and a fatter wife in a relationship

the thing about advice is... by following the advice, who ultimately benefits? that is, to which party/parties does time, resources, money flow to when said advice is heeded?

that's really all there is to know about advice when it comes to work, money, women, politics, etc.

Or, more generally, our society's plan for men isn't good for them, personally.

Now, men have never had an easy ride unless they were one of the aristocracy. We've always been the labouring sex, the risk-taking sex, the disposable sex. In the world of the past, those burdens came with rewards for the those of us who survived our disposability.

Now those rewards have been called "privileges", and taken away. (And the burdens have been called "privileges", too, but have not been taken away.)

Now, when something unfair happens to a woman, her usual response to point this unfairness out to whoever appears to have power. But men, being less submissive, tend to blame ourselves, ask "What am I doing wrong?", and try to change either our behaviour or our environment (by going elsewhere).

So the first thing we got was a generation or two of men thinking that we, personally, were no good, and was why we couldn't get laid, or why we couldn't get jobs, or why we couldn't pay off our student loans, or why we came home from the war broken and unable to fit back in, or why our marriages exploded and we lost our children, our homes, and our livelihoods.

So we looked to women to tell us what it was we were doing wrong. After all, many of our problems were with them, and even if they weren't, women seemed to be prospering. On top of that, they seemed to have this mysterious power to love themselves unconditionally. And everyone, everywhere, kept telling us to treat them with kindness and respect, and even reverence, because they could do anything we could do, anything at all, even backwards and in heels.

And when a man sees someone doing better than him, his first impulse is not to stab, but to try to learn.

And women were certainly willing to give us advice. Oh, boy, were they ever willing to give us advice. Page after page, speech after speech, of what we should and shouldn't do, who we should and shouldn't be, what they wanted, what they didn't, exactly what a man's role was and wasn't. Women were all too willing to define masculinity for us, if asked. Or even if not asked.

And, of course, when we followed this advice, things got worse.

And gradually we came to realize that when we asked these "new women", empowered by feminism, what a man should do, they didn't hear "What should a man's life be like?", they heard "What do you want for christmas?".

No one answering was giving any thought at all to what might happen to us in the process of fulfilling women's ambitions and fantasies.

We woke up to the fact that women's lists of what a man should do were the equivalent of a 12 year old girl asking daddy for a pony. She doesn't worry about whether daddy can actually afford to buy her one, because she's aware that daddy is older and wiser and more worldly than her, and will figure out for himself if he can do that, and is willing to. She knows he will probably tell her "no", and if she throws a tantrum on hearing it, that's just to make sure it's a firm "no" without any wiggle room.

All this time, the same feminist-indoctrinated women who were loudly and repeated assuring us they were at least our equals in every way... were simultaneously treating us as if we were gods who had the power to give them anything at all, so long as we could be persuaded to.

And we fell down on the road to Damascus. We realized that we were still in charge. That we had always been in charge. And we would remain in charge for as long as women looked to us to give them things and solve their problems.

Every feminist lobbying for paid maternity leave is a submissive asking daddy to care for her. Every "men can stop rape" poster is a woman admitting she cannot protect herself. Every woman complaining that we shouldn't portray women like that in video games is a woman saying "I can't make my own video games, please consider my wishes when you make them for both of us". Every woman asking men for a better deal is a woman on her knees.

Feminism was never about female independence. If it were, it would not require men to cooperate or even notice. They wouldn't need us to give them jobs if they started their own businesses. They wouldn't need us to give them "equal pay" if they were doing the hiring. They wouldn't need laws mandating maternity leave and free birth control if they were the ones setting, and paying, employee benefits. They wouldn't need "no means no" if they were the ones making the sexual advances. They wouldn't need "men can stop rape" if they took responsibility for defending themselves from psychos.

So all we have to do is stop. Say no. You can have a slightly bigger allowance, but you cannot have a pony.

That's what the Red Pill is. Not some fool notion that women are horrible selfish bitches. Not the idea that men "should be" in charge. Just the realization that men are in charge, that we will be until the day women stop asking for, or even accepting, things from us. That if we're in charge, we're gonna have to take some responsibility for putting the brakes on.

We are the ones who need to say, no, a woman cannot have it all.

She has to share.

I actually found this subreddit after numerous searches into google and reddit similar to "women have all the power", "women are extremely cocky/confident", etc.

I had broken up with my ex, and knew it was important to keep up an image of abundance of other women, but was almost disgusted by a lot of the women that surrounded me. So many of them draw all of their value from the fact that 10 beta's are texting them at all times, willing to do whatever their tiny brain thinks will work to get in the girls pants. And so as a result, the chicks had INSANE confidence and thought they were hot shit that could do whatever the fuck they wanted since we have a society of beta males treating them like royalty. It really turned me off to most chicks. Who wants to date a chick that is more confident than the president just because she has a vagina? I literally had my ex, who is a typical blonde, sexy girl (if I may say so), say to me "I can have any guy I want right now!" and on another occassion "I can do whatever the fuck I want!" In response to me telling her to shut the fuck up while my friend was sleeping after we got back from a party.

I really didn't want to have to act 100% alpha every living and breathing moment of my existence just to keep a girl with me, or she'd go bone 5 other guys cause she thought she deserved the biggest bad ass on the planet. I could do it, but it's a lot of work because my natural tendency is to chill and get along with people. Finally found this subreddit and realized I wasn't the only one amazed at the chicks I was surrounded by. Felt good.

I am fairly sure TRP exists because by design society acts on men in a relationship adverserial in nature and we are conditioned to except that as a standard of life that is superior in quality while never getting a fair shake at satisfying our wants cleanly. If we wouldn't of done it, someone else will.

It'd be better labeled as Xion from the matrix series because it is an accounted for part of the equation. There is always a group who will resist, and the amount and strength of that group is proportional to the visibility of the threat to society.

I am here to enjoy the company of intelligent dudes. Which most of you are some of the highest calibur. Glad to know ya, at least virtually. Just look at this post, this and the responses are fucking brilliant.

The best part about coming to this place is to see how quick you are all growing. I hardly ever need to make a post or respond.

Maybe when I was 16, but at 26 I can already see looks fading on women my age. I don't find fat or obese women attractive and you are already losing 20-30% of the dating pool.

There are naturally evolved differences in how we connect emotionally with men and with women. Studies have shown that infants stare longer at women's faces. There's this thing called, "the locking gaze" that women do.

I'm of the belief that we are hardwired to need both masculine and feminine emotional support, and that they aren't interchangeable.

So men are taught to not be open by society, and who dominates society? Men do (as primary enforcers of laws and social norms both historically and presently). So maybe you can say that men victimise men.

Secondly, how can you class difficulty of obtaining a sexual partner a real hardship? That's laughable. How can you complain that you have to put effort in to have sex? If it is easy for a woman to have sex then once again that is because of men, not women.

And how is receiving poor relationship advice an example of victimisation?

At first glance it seems that your major points are incredibly tedious links. What you are saying is an insult to the truly oppressed members of society, regardless of gender.

I think TRP community has multiple wings or subsets.

I really like the MarriedManSexLife kind of blogs, which are about making a marriage function well, making your wife seriously happy, and the general advice is treat your wife like a captain treats a first mate. I think this awesome. There is no immoral stuff in it, at least, given that I am not an ideological egalitarian, I don't find the captain - fist mate stuff immoral, and ultimately the goal is to make both of you happy without hurting anyone.

The other kinds that about having sex with many different girls, and treating them seriously badly, seriously rude asshole kind of stuff, so the more PUA kind of stuff, that bothers me a bit. Both morally and practically. Frankly I don't see any point in sex without emotional attachment, and in many different girls. You can science this and science that, but it is fairly apparent that evolution still leaves fairly large wiggle rooms for personal autonomy and culture, it does not program us like robots. For example I always disliked sugar and sweet stuff despite evolution saying otherwise. And I was always more interested in stuff like cuddling, validation I get, and showing the world I am a normal guy, I can be not a foreveralone. Sex was never very interesting to me. It is just about emptying balls. What's the big deal? It's just a particularly awkward way to approach masturbation, as if the guy would have to masturbate both himself and the woman, trying to get two people off. Eh. If I could make kids and keep my wife happy without sex I would happily be forever celibate.

But I can't so I actually ordered Athol Kay's book, it arrived today, and will use it. But I need to awaken lust in myself first, which is hard, never having had much of it. Unfortunately Athol takes it granted that you want sex. I never really I just wanted a family because I just work, although I do not like working but basically I am afraid of poverty so I have to work, so I make money, and there is no point on spending that money on myself, as I don't really want to buy anything, so spending it on kids sounds like an obvious idea. This sounds like a very beta stuff, no desires neither in sex nor in money, motivated to work by fear, wanting to be a provider? But at least I seriously want high status champion kids. In this way I am very evolutionary. I am made very excited about the idea of making high status kids, who ace school, work, relationships, sports, everything. This is obviously a very evolutionary thing and at least in this I am not a freak, I am functioning normal. This may be the only not-beta in me.

Honestly, I joined it for (harsh)reality reasons... the thought of how to perceive women differently never crossed my mind.

If this subreddit becomes dominated by(to me) mundane topics like the battle of the sexes...then I will realize I joined the wrong subreddit.
