I think she might be trying to plead her own exceptionalism? I was starting to figure TRP things out, but wasn't completely convinced. She started to explain some things, confirming TRP stuff I was saying to her. She says she's trying to protect me from other women...

Anyway, her personal motivations are not really the point. The point is that she's confirming explicitly and in detail that women use men for validation like men use women for sex, that women want men they can manipulate, that the things that make a man sexy are not the things that make him a good partner, that low-status men are invisible, that women use emotional displays to manipulate, etc.

(She is not just listening to me and agreeing, she is, of her own accord, and without knowing that I already have heard these ideas, spelling out the very same things that TRP teaches)

She's confirmed that women are competitive and manipulative with each other, and don't feel strong moral compulsions unless people around her are judging her, at which point she will pretend to feel what she needs to for the sake of her reputation.

In a dozen other little details, she's confirmed specific strategies and mindsets from TRP. It's a little weird to me, since usually a woman wouldn't reveal these things, but the far more important point is that she's providing independent verification of all this.

Which sucks in a way. It's hit me pretty hard; I wish things were better, but hey, it's better to know the truth.

Anyway, my point is to provide this as evidence for a lot of TRP stuff. I'm still not completely sold on some of the wider and more ambitious claims, and am aware of at least one area in which TRP wisdom is out of step with the science, but would like to confirm to any inquisitive doubters that a very great deal of TRP stuff is apparently right on the money.
