I read TRP for a long time. Months and months if not for a year. Things all of a sudden made sense, puzzle pieces fell into place. All my failed relationships became lucid and clear. While I gained knowledge here and read different theorys, I didn't really go out in public and try to meet new people. I have friends and I decided to be lazy. All that got me was about 6 months wasted watching tv and stroking my ego.

Then I got a job. I lied and said I had experience as a server, while i've done every job in different restaurants except managing, it was a clear lie where I knew I had to learn fast to get away with my ruse. It made me use my brain, and brains need to exercise or they get weird. So right out of the gate the job started improving my well being.

Also being a waitress is by no means easy, but being a man and a server is harder, sorry it just is. I have to do every job a woman does plus the heavy lifting. Taking out 150+ lbs trash cans, stocking ice, reloading kegs of beer etc.. By no means am I complaining. I went from 180lbs and ~20% body fat to 165 lbs x<10% body fat. Women stare when i'm wearing under amour, I even catch the girls I work with doing it sometimes. I went from average to jacked in about 6 weeks, and i'm still gaining muscle and have no plans on stopping.

A quick tangent on why its harder to be a man and serve: When we are slow I watch these girls gossip and they watch me stock everything I possibly can for when we are slammed. In one way that seems beta, but i'm not doing it to impress them, i'm doing it to impress management. I have as many hours and the best days as men/woman that have worked there for years. So its working.

As a server you are constantly having to deal with customers bullshit. It's a perfect chance to learn how to be that unbreakable stoic motherfucker that gets panties moist. You can hone your people/social skills also. There isn't one night where I cant get one table to bust out laughing over one of my jokes. Also I catch shit from waitresses DO NOT REACT TO THEIR BULLSHIT. Do not sink to their level.

Watch TRP unfold before your eyes. Solipsism is put right on display. Like the one waitress that got married and was fucking a male waiter because "feelz R' reelz." You can over hear the gossip that goes on, the blatant selfishness that goes on. People are stupid and air out their laundry in their front yard it seems. I can give you all kinds of anecdotes, but just work at a restaurant you'll gain plenty of stories.

It also makes you take care of your appearance ie brushing your teeth, having nice hair, smelling good etc.

Also money. It's not an issue, i'm single right now so i'm milking the bachelor life. Lets be honest the life of a bachelor can be epic if you set it up right, but money sure as hell helps. It allowed me to move ot of my parents place and focus on being a man and not a son every hour i'm not at work.

I can go on and on but I work a double today and need to get ready. So i leave you with restaurant pro tips.

  1. Show up on time or better yet early every shift you have. 2. DO NOT COMPLAIN. Seriously. 3 Smile tell jokes, entertain your customers. 4. Be Machiavellian. The first thing I did was make friends with the dishwasher and cooks and hosts. Fuck the servers, make friends if you can but the person that will help you at the end of the night, or the cook that will sweep mistakes under the rug, or the host that doesn't give you that regular that comes in and only tips $2 are far more valuable friends.
