Looks is only but one factor in being "wife-material" and as for owning your own home, car, and having a job, those are not bad things but they also do not make you wife material. Depending on whether or not you "own" your car through expensive monthly payments or outright own it, you might have a liability rather than an asset.

Is the man who is looking for a wife material woman also jumping into bed with you, and would that make him hypocritical? Yes, but that is besides the point of your lack of being wife material. You can make the choice not to sleep with a man before marriage, and hold him up to the same standard that he expects for you.

It is not that hard. The problem is many women want to be free to have sex whenever they please while also wanting that fact to not affect their status as wife material. The problem is that you do not get to dictate how other men view you, including whether or not they see you as worth marrying. If you want to be with a man who will marry you, you have to be marriage minded yourself. That means cherishing marriage, which means no sleeping around before marriage. Yes, you have to cherish your marriage and your husband before you even meet him. And if you are worried about hypocrisy, you can have the same standard of having your future husband not being someone that sleeps around too.

But many women do not have this standard, as they are only mad that they are not able to have things both ways by sleeping around in their teens and 20s but still get a husband at the end rather than genuinely being mad at the supposed double standard. And I say supposed because most men cannot sleep around as easily as most women. So the "sleep around like a man" only applies to the men at the top, while the rest of the men get flack regardless of their success rate or willingness to participate in the sexual free-for-all.

I’d start by not letting people know that others look at you as a piece of ass. There’s a reason they do so, generally. I’m a sophomore in college and have seen both ends. Girls who say I’m not a piece of ass subconsciously tell the guy, “I’m a piece of ass”. You will forever be a piece of ass if you do so.
