Ok, I don't really believe that lifting is bullshit. It is better than sitting on your ass and buying bigger pants every year. That being said, I started lifting after I joined the Navy over 25 years ago. I have tried a lot of different programs in that time: Low-fat-high-carb, Low-carb, High-protein, Heavy sets, super-sets, high-rep sets, etc., etc. My frustration is that I have always been just average. I have never been super cut, and I have never been huge. I've always been a slightly pudgy, short, unremarkable metso-morph.

Be aware that I am a software engineer so I sit a lot in my job. Plus, I have always been kind of low energy. I am average looking. I am not ugly, but I really do not stand out in a crowd. I am kind of short and I always thought I looked kind of feminine. I have had blood tests in the past and everything seemed "normal". Again, I seem to be the epitome of average and I pretty much hate it. Average sucks! Remember this....

So, now what? This blog preaches that lifting is first and foremost, but it really has done nothing for me in 25 years.
How do I break out of this funk? I have taken the Red Pill but I still feel, and look, like the typical AFC. Is it possible I am simply genetically handicapped and really can never have what it takes?
