LTR of seven months played in a summer coed softball league with her brother and SIL. Currently we live in different cities. Naturally a guy from the team slowly begins pursuing my LTR. He pulls the classic orbiter game of quirky snapchats and playful instagram DMs. I immediately call it out but get told by both her and her brother that orbiter is supposedly “harmless” and not interested. Over the course of the summer it progresses into late night texts (he got her number from the softball team group chat) and multiple invites for a “dog date.” Today my LTR cancels last second after previously agreeing to meet up at the park. Orbiter counters with “how about we get dinner tomorrow night instead”. LTR loosely agrees under the condition that she’s still up for it after she gets out of work. None of this was brought to my attention until I asked (she had mentioned the dog meet up previously) and then once she told me, it was shrugged off like it was no biggie. Should I be concerned she’s made basically zero attempt to curb orbiter’s advances? Is it an overreaction to view this as a red flag?
