He's not taking you seriously. When you confirm you're still interested in seeing him there is no point in him continuing the conversation since his work is done.
The lack of response is making you want him more since he is harder to get. You are definitely more interested in him than he is to you.
Whether or not he's a player, just messing around, or you are his backup; The dude is playing smart, but you don't need to deal with it and waste your time.
You should stop caring and wait for him to make plans or move on.
[–]willgo-waggins 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
All this and what does he do for a living? If he’s medical personnel like I am he likely works a ton and possibly an odd shift. He may also do a job (I’m in the operating room) where communication is impossible most of the time.
[–][deleted] 22 points23 points24 points 4 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link
I do play a little of that “game” but to me it’s not malicious it’s just common sense you learn after years of dating experiences. If he didn’t create or allow for any gap in communication, you could either get an ick because he’s being too available, or you could panic and slam on the brakes because you think you’re moving too fast. So to me it sounds like he could just be setting the pace to reduce the chances either of those things happening. You can call that a game if you want but to me like I said that’s just experience.
For the majority of men who don’t have any control over their emotions or are lacking experience, yes they’re going to just talk your head off as long as you’re being receptive for better or worse. This would be a sign of low interest if that’s the case but you said some things that imply he’s pretty well in control of himself here.

[–]LeSulk 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Never said you did. Never even implied it.
On one hand, you don’t want a guy who messages too much but on the other, you’re wondering why this guy isn’t. Dating casually or otherwise is tough already. The more silly rules you create, the more anxiety you give yourself.
[–]fiftycamelsworth 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You def did imply it, because you said that being single means the friends is give bad advice.
If being single wasn’t “bad”, then the advice leading to being single wouldn’t be “bad”.
If being in a relationship wasn’t the goal, being single wouldn’t be “bad”
[–]BullyBumble -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You have a gf?
[–]ftdrain 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Thats not how men think at all, our natural way is to talk a lot with girls we are attracted to/like, but like the dude you answered to said, we learn through experience that theres a pattern to how receptive women are to this natural behaviour, shit goes down in flames a lot of the time, its very predictable. So in the end theres a lot of pretending going on, but you cant know for sure.
Your dude could be:
1 - playing the field, you are one of many, the higher smv the dude, the more likely that this is the case 2 - not that interested, some of what you said points to the idea that he wants to hook up, but not much more 3 - taking his time and pretending to be too occupied (least likely if the dude isnt a 7+ with his shit together)
[–]Series_Watcher 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
I had no idea about this, so responding too fast or chatting a lot are kinda red flags?
[–]Cool-Assignment-10968 points 4 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
If you meet someone and you’re both super into eachother & chatting a ton & the energy is being reciprocated on both ends then obviously that’s amazing :)
Only in this weird new world of everyone trying to play everyone else.
Thus the comment above about not listening to her girlfriends.
It’s all great if both men and women are just playing and looking for casuals, hook ups or FWB.
If you actually want to meet a good and decent person that you would like to get serious about? Don’t fucking play games. Lay it out when trust is built - which happens through sincere and honest communication and interaction and time spent together doing things that not only are fun. It matter and help you bond together.
Not push/pull, negging, measured communication and time gaps for it or any of the other “advice” and PUA horseshit out there that are basically marketing strategies applied to interpersonal relations between humans.
There is a certain basic charm to meeting someone and growing a connection the old fashioned way.

No no no, Not at all. I just mean like if you go on a few dates with someone and they’re blowing up your phone constantly or saying they have feelings for you when they’re quite literally just beginning to get to know you. Sounds crazy but it happens
[–]Series_Watcher 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ah got you, also the feelings thing reminds me of Ted mosby
[–]willgo-waggins 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
That’s different but also sometimes it’s just right.
The woman I love and one of my best friends and lovers and I had an immediate spark and we know we will always be a part of one another’s lives in whatever capacity that ends up. Sometimes that just happens and putting a measure on it is short selling the feelings and chemistry that is there.
Every once in a while You meet people in life that way where you just “click” and I don’t mean just romantically.
You should never throw that away because of some weird false standard created by others. Use your own judgement and trust your own instinct.
[–]Cool-Assignment-10962 points 4 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link
I get what you’re saying. If there’s a mutual spark and everything is reciprocated by eachother it’s not a red flag :) I am just saying if you’re showing someone you’re not quite there at all with them yet and they’re applying too much pressure too quickly to get you there it can become overwhelming or red flag-ish imo. Everyone obviously is different though!
[–]willgo-waggins -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Yeah you seem like you’re pretty in touch with yourself - which jives with the fact that you said he’s an older guy.
Sirius how much older. My main girl (for want of a better term) is 33 and my other one is 40. I’m 51. Both exclusively prefer much older men who are mature and settled but young and fit looking. Lucky for me I fit the bill lol!

Ahh that’s still right in your age range at 29. Not really “older” in the sense people here think of. My parents have five years between them and that’s close for their generation.
[–]MrMacDoctor 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You see, this is the thing. Me personally, I've had quite a few relationships now, some are still going on. I moved fast every single time, those who got the "ick" seemed to get it because of their own trust issues, i.e: not believing something too good to be true n whatnot. this is reflected with their lack of trust in other areas in general. at the end of the day, they're not ready for it, they don't want it. Working fast helps me filter them out.
if you ask a guy "would you want sex on the first date" I guarantee 99% of them would say yes. Better yet, they would say fuck the date, I want sex first, THEN lets date. The whole overwhelming feeling you get is the idea that there's some weird dance leading up to the eventual bedroom where you don't know how it's gonna go or if it'll even be worth the effort.
this is all subconscious but, at the end of the day, things happen the way they happen for a reason. We act confused but in reality it all goes our way.
My manz seems to be treating you completely normally. No games. It's likely he just hasn't had a free day for u yet

It feels to me that he's using the good old methods every player knows to make your interest in him grow :
- wait a few days before replying to your texts (the 3 days rule, but looks like he makes it last more time so you don't detect it if you know about it)
- stop the conversations on high notes.
[–]Cool-Assignment-109631 points 4 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
I don’t know what he’s doing but it must be working if I’m writing a fckkng Reddit post about him lmfao
[–]KingWolf7070 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
I'm going to be extremely frank. Given this information it seems highly likely to me that he's putting in minimal effort to get pussy. That's it. Possible that he's also doing this to other girls at the same time which would explain why he takes so long in between texts.
I can only compare him to myself. So when I'm texting a partner I do it because I genuinely want to interact with them. Depending on how much time we both have we might have short or long conversations. Or if we have just a tiny bit of time I will at minimum text good morning and good night every day, maybe send funny memes or cute animal pics during a lunch break at work. A short text takes me seconds to send and it's my way to show that I'm thinking about the girl.
In any case, this guy is putting in very little effort. And just asking for and commenting on sexy pics. Maybe following some terrible pick up artist advice trying to seem uninterested to manipulate your subconscious into liking him more. Don't put up with any kind of bullshit. There's billions more guys you can date. Find one that actually puts in effort and clearly shows genuine interest.
[–]user009818 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
It's obviously working lol
[–]KingWolf7070 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
OP was confused enough by it to ask on reddit. If it actually was working it would just work. There would be no confusion. She would just feel more attraction without questioning it. But here we are. This can work in certain situations, but this guy seems dumb and doing it wrong, taking it too far perhaps. Like, he takes bait and responds to sexy pics so he's not able to commit to the strategy.
[–]luhvxr -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
i think the confusion is the goal tho. idk
[–]KingWolf7070 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]MermaidOfScandinavia 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
He sounds like an asshole. Regardless of what he wants from you, then he is a waste of time in my opinion. Move on girl. Guys like that never gets to date me again. I don't need these shitty games.

Sounds like you are new to his rotation and he hasn’t found time for you yet. He also may be busy and happy with his life and dating/relationship is further on his list hence no rush whatsoever. Plus he already knows you like him and feel comfortable with him so he knows you’re not running away that quickly
[–]stellarlunacy 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

men are called players if they’re PLAYING women and stringing them along and not being upfront
[–]luhvxr 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
even if that’s the case that term is significantly less derogatory than “slut/whore”. and most men won’t even go out with a girl with a high body count. so again stfu with the pity party because out of the two genders men are definitely the ones allowed to have sex more than women
[–]luhvxr 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
that’s literally what it means so yes i think it’s justified to call men players if they’re doing a bad thing by hurting women in the process. because they’re playing women. stop trying to act oppressed as if women literally don’t get called whore/slut all the fucking names men only get shamed when they’re being disrespectful and not upfront about it
[–]luhvxr 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
i think that is over exaggerating it. and let’s be real here, men are the only ones who call it conquests they literally invented that term for sleeping with women. there’s nothing wrong w a guy just wanting sex and knowing what he wants but he gets called a pig if he’s disrespectful about it. i’ve never heard of a guy getting called a pig for simply saying he only is interested in hooking up. and we both know damn well how much more shame women receive for having/enjoying sex so save me the fucking pity party. this is not a sexism thing
when did i tell you what you experience? i’m talking about the experience of women as a woman i’ve never heard of a woman saying that unless the man was being disrespectful/creepy in some way. if you’re getting called those things it’s literally because you’re being creepy about it that’s it
[–]stellarlunacy -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
no one is saying men can’t enjoy sex with women. this dude is sending mixed messages and not being direct though, which is when it becomes an obvious scenario of “conquesting.”
[–]stellarlunacy -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
it’s obvious he isn’t interested, which i stated. but the fact that he drops little breadcrumbs here and there means it’s also obvious he’s trying to keep her hooked. i didn’t say that it’s right or wrong, i just answered the OPs question. which is yes, he’s a player, and no, he isn’t genuinely interested.

from reading this he doesn’t really seem that interested in you romantically and is probably just looking to hook up. maybe try asking him what his intentions are/what he is looking for right now/is he seeing anyone else. what does he want out of this. if it aligns with what you want then great if not cut your losses. i would tell you to play the game back and stop responding to him when he messages you too but that’s so unproductive and just leads to you having to manipulate someone to date you which you don’t want, which no one wants. fuck that

To be honest it all comes down to what you are looking for. I think that if he puts in such a small amount of effort in this talking stage, maybe you should try imagining how your future would be if you are interested in long term relationships, possibly marriage. I also think you should think about wether or not you would want to put up with his lack of effort long term. Now my comment might not help you decide anything because I had an issue like this where I would just rly be into someone and ignore most of the red flags so I think that sometimes you have to learn a lesson the hard way, at least in dating, to understand your worth and also to recognize and understand yourself and what you are looking for. Hope this helped. Edit: give us an update if you feel like it and good luck.
[–]eszibit 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link
He's not that into you and probably has a lot of options. From what i know girls on apps swipe right way above their league ( 9s and 10s only ) so they get treated like sloppy seconds.
[–]eszibit 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
ok, fair enough but the "he continuously praised my appearance" does not really mean anything. Also an old school trick was something like " tell the cute girl she is gorgeous and the gorgeous girl she is smart " , it's the thing they want to be praised for basically.
Anyway, the advice is still the same, go and look for someone that likes you and makes time for you, otherwise it's just bullshit
[–]BeautifulTomatillo -5 points-4 points-3 points 4 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link
Leagues are not comparable between men and women because women just put more effort into their appearance. If you were going to make some objective ranking there were be mostly men at the bottom and mostly women at the top
[–]eszibit 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link
hehe, you're a woman, right?
Actually nobody really gives a fuck about 90% of the effort that women put into appearance. well, except other women that love to gossip about it.
Guys don't care about long ass nails, about purses or shoes or matching bra and panties, or, and god damn it i hate this, make-up. Or hairstyle or earing or any of that crap that you think guys care about. You know what they do care about?
Being a nice person, chill, feminine.
Going to the gym or at least doing some sports/diet to have a healthy body.
Having nice skin, and that doesn't come from make-up, just research how terrible it's actually for your health.
What do guys want? a cute girl that is nice and supportive and takes care of herself because if you will have a child you want someone healthy. That's it. If she is curious about the world, is kind and does nice things for others well that's wife material but it's such un unbelievable rare combination.
We don't put that much effort into our appearance because it's shallow as fuck. Sure, be healthy as a guy, have clean clothes that fit, take a shower and have somewhat nice hair. But we'd rather put the rest of the effort into things that matter and not blow money on shitty expensive clothes and cars. Well, there are a few morons that do it, but everybody low key laughs at them.
[–]BeautifulTomatillo -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link
The whole point about makeup is that you’re not supposed to notice it. Men can’t tell the difference between natural makeup and no makeup, they also don’t know how to tell apart natural hair vs wigs, weaves and extensions.
Most men don’t have a skincare routine, they don’t have hair care routine , they don’t pluck their eyebrows and they don’t shave all their body hair.
Not even going to bring up how 90% of plastic surgery and body modification is done by women
Also there’s a big distinction where average guy = not ugly but average women = pretty but not beautiful
[–]eszibit 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
Skincare actually comes from the inside, from what you eat and don't eat, from how your body deals with toxins, from a lot of things. It's actually a really good proxy marker for your overall health so putting stuff on your face to cover the blemishes is like not showing your true self/health.
Most men want their woman to be as real as possible, no fake tits, fake hair or fake health. Sure, some dumbasses want bigass titties but we call those republicans :))
Also you're proving my point with the body modifications. Sometimes, in rare cases it's needed, like jaw surgery or stuff like that, but fake tits are moronic and pretty sure give you cancer.
I'm not sure the average women is pretty, i know obesity rates are sky rocketing everywhere and women are taking the lead especially in the USA, but historically yeah, women are the fairer sex.
Women overall are just getting pumped and dumped since they don't understand what men really want and they just go by what they think men should want.
[–]BeautifulTomatillo 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link
You only notice plastic surgery is done, if it’s done badly or obnoxiously. That’s why men like yourself think it’s unattractive.
Trust me any women that followed your advice exactly would have terrible luck dating because of how our society works
You really think a woman who - never wears makeup - never washes her face - never shaves her body hair - never plucks her eyebrows - never styles her hair - dresses in cheap clothes
Would have any amount of success considering what is the social expectation of how women present themselves
Washing your face regularly and using moisturiser, sunscreen etc ( all part of a skin care routine ) does improve your skin any dermatologist will tell you it’s necessary for healthy skin
Makeup is now required for a lot of women to be employable or to go outside . Men really think that a women looks tired or sickly when they see her without makeup not more attractive.
[–]eszibit 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
I like how you put words in in mouth. Shaving your hair is normal and hygienic. Washing your face with water? sure. never plucks her eyebrows - again, you don't add toxic chemicals that fake enhance your beauty. "never styles her hair" i mean, a comb is fine, maybe at special events something more fancy. dresses in cheap clothes -> you ever though a guy said no to a woman based on her clothes? you don't understand man at all :)) . Sure, not to look like a bum with torn clothes and stained, but as long as they fit nice, i don't see what's wrong.
The social expectations are from other women. That's all. Please ask rational men in your life these type of questions, and while there will be a degree of variability most men will agree with what i've said here.
"Washing your face regularly and using moisturiser, sunscreen etc ( all part of a skin care routine ) does improve your skin any dermatologist will tell you it’s necessary for healthy skin"
I've spent a lot of money on dermatologists, dumb as rocks. It's a corrupt system and unless they are selling you something they won't give you the time of day. On the advice of a dermatologist i took Accutane, worst mistake of my life, trusting doctors. I'm still not recovered after 7 years and if you read online there's a ton of people like me.
"Makeup is now required for a lot of women to be employable or to go outside . Men really think that a women looks tired or sickly when they see her without makeup not more attractive."
Well you hit the nail on the head. Most people are tired and sickly and instead of searching for the root cause and healing, they just carry on and apply make-up
[–]BeautifulTomatillo 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
You’re assuming that your personal unique experience of fixing your acne is universal. The facts are skincare products can resolve acne and slow the ageing process
Shaving your hair is normal and hygienic.
Yet it is only women who have to shave from the eyebrows down, you see the double standard here ?
Washing your face with water? sure.
That is rinsing, not washing, it accomplishes nothing
never plucks her eyebrows - again, you don't add toxic chemicals that fake enhance your beauty.
Are you really going to pretend that men don’t care or notice if a woman has a uni brow and a mustache ?
"never styles her hair" i mean, a comb is fine, maybe at special events something more fancy.
The problem being not everyone has pin straight hair. If you have any type of curly hair it has to be maintained unless you want to look like a birds nest
The social expectations are from other women.
It is from both men and women
I've spent a lot of money on dermatologists, dumb as rocks. It's a corrupt system and unless they are selling you something they won't give you the time of day.
Assuming you know better than medical doctors is the peak of arrogance. Many people benefit from skin care products that’s not really up for debate
The problem is what a normal women looks like has been warped in peoples minds because of makeup. So now normal = she’s wearing foundation and concealer

Ok, last message because i'm sure i'm not gonna change your mind so it's just wasting time for both of us.
"You’re assuming that your personal unique experience of fixing your acne is universal. The facts are skincare products can resolve acne and slow the ageing process"
I did all the skincare shit, and if you research it Accutane was prescribed as a last resort. My personal unique experience is actually understanding biology and how to detox properly and help my liver since i have an MTHFR mutation homozygous called C677T. It means my methylation cycle is shit and i need to help it since the methylation cycle is responsible for glutathione production that detoxifies the body. I did chelation therapy for mercury too, i did a lot of sauna and it all helps. Doctors and especially dermatologists know jack shit.
"Assuming you know better than medical doctors is the peak of arrogance. Many people benefit from skin care products that’s not really up for debate"
Oh yes, the pinnacle of human minds, the guys that learn only to give pills and most of them are sick or obese. I have 3 doctors in my family, trust me when i tell you that the only arrogant ones are them. Most of what they learn is from the drug companies that surprise surprise have an incentive to sell you stuff. It's all bought and payed for by Big Pharma. There are very good doctors out there but few and far between.
"Yet it is only women who have to shave from the eyebrows down, you see the double standard here ?"
I didn't say there are not double standards, but again, it's not something fake that you are adding. Just like we cut our hair, keep a beard, maintain eyebrows etc, you do some more stuff. And yeah, men appreciate it, because in the event of a war you can see who goes and gets killed, in the event of a fight the guy protects his women, on the 1st date the guy pays, not to mention the guy is expected to be smarter/funnier/better social circle/more money and the list goes on. double standards everywhere
"Are you really going to pretend that men don’t care or notice if a woman has a uni brow and a mustache ?" Here you misunderstood me and probably i wasn't specific enough. Of course we want you to pluck your eyebrows but guys do it too.
"The problem being not everyone has pin straight hair. If you have any type of curly hair it has to be maintained unless you want to look like a birds nest"
True, if it's really messy sure, use in iron curl, but can you see where i'm going with it? Or you just like to "win" ? I'm saying nothing fake like adding fake tits, make up, fake hair, etc, and you're coming with pluck eyebrows and straighten hair.
"It is from both men and women" I swear it isn't, do more research and you will see.
"The problem is what a normal women looks like has been warped in peoples minds because of makeup. So now normal = she’s wearing foundation and concealer"
Again, not true. We have hundreds of thousands of years of evolution in us, men ( just like women ) want a healthy person. Health cues like skin, hair, smile, breasts and ass and hip to waist ratio are being faked by women and called normal. And instead of trying to become healthier they just hide it.
Anyway, good luck to you, hope you find what you want

bought and paid for by
FTFY.
Although payed exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. The deck is yet to be payed.
Payed out when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. The rope is payed out! You can pull now.
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.

Honestly I am completely shocked how some people have such little awareness or empathy of other peoples lives. I’m going to respond in case you read this
There are multiple causes of acne, acne can be caused by your diet, your hormones or not washing your face enough.
I’m not going to defend the profession of medicine. If someone stabs you in the stomach best of luck fixing that for yourself too
And yeah, men appreciate it,
No they expect it, there’s a difference
in the event of a war you can see who goes and gets killed, in the event of a fight the guy protects his women, on the 1st date the guy pays,
Obfuscating with completely irrelevant information which I’m guessing concedes my point
the guy is expected to be smarter/funnier/better social circle
Only true because men don’t care about these qualities in women
Of course we want you to pluck your eyebrows but guys do it too.
Men don’t pluck their eyebrows that is a complete lie
True, if it's really messy sure, use in iron curl, but can you see where i'm going with it?
So women with curly hair are expected to flat iron it (which can take up to 3 hours if your hair is very curly) where men aren’t even aware of this yet expect it
Again, not true. We have hundreds of thousands of years of evolution in us, men ( just like women ) want a healthy person.
Yeah this is complete BS, men don’t have any idea what normal women look like after watching pornography and all other forms of media for decades. Not to mention consuming an endless diet of photoshoped social media images. This isn’t just my opinion btw it’s been extensively studied
Health cues like skin, hair, smile, breasts and ass and hip to waist ratio are being faked by women and called normal. And instead of trying to become healthier they just hide it.
Getting “healthier” will not straighten or whiten your teeth, make your boobs bigger, straighten your hair or widen your hips funnily enough
Not to mention a large subset of people can’t get a bigger ass from just working out and can’t get clear skin or longer hair from just eating healthy

Of course i read it, i'm not an asshole. Not gonna go point by point but a few things
Healthy and white teeth through vit K2
Acne is caused by diet, hormones are affected by diet, washing your face with water is more than enough. Acute vs chronic stuff is different, of course you need doctors for acute stuff but they have no understanding of chronic stuff. If they would you wouldn't see the obesity/Alzheimer/dementia epidemic that we have rn
We know what normal women look like and most of women today are from from it, especially since most are fat.
It was irrelevant information, i was showcasing double standards.
You pick and choose what you want to hear and what you like to hear. anyway, i'm done here, goodluck

Acne is caused by diet, hormones are affected by diet, washing your face with water is more than enough.
Your face is covered in oil (sebum), excessive oil production causes acne, oil is literally resistant to water. Rinsing your face with water accomplishes nothing. Hope you recognise now how nonsensical what you’re saying is
Acne is also caused by hair follicles clogged by oil and dead skin cells, which requires soap and water. Likely also a physical or chemical exfoliator
Hormones are also affected by menstruation, puberty, medical conditions, medications and stress
We know what normal women look like
You don’t because most women wear daily makeup

I've spent a loot of money on doctors that wanted to sell me shit. I've had cystic acne since forever, nobody told me what sugar and omega 6 oils do to your health. Nobody talks about glycine/collagen as much as they should, that it's a key and sometimes limiting factor in glutathione production that detoxifies you. It's by far the most important thing and there are plenty of people that cured acne/eczema/psoriasis with it, where "conventional" a.k.a shitty medicine didn't do anything. But glad to see we are on the same level, maybe it give me a bit more credence on the other points

If the comment is yours you can click on the 3 dots and then use "delete comment"
If it's someone else's, you can't (but you can report it to moderators if it breaks a rule)

He's playing games. Move on. If he is interested in just you he would be all over it.

If player is synonymous to a man who has his life together, then yes, your speculation is correct. Honestly though, he seems like a guy who has experience/options and isn’t looking to commit to anything. He’s definitely testing the water but is that really a bad thing? Considering you guys met on a dating app, that’s very normal. If you find him attractive and fun, I’d continue to hang out with him, but play a bit of push game too, just to level the playing field.
[–]Cool-Assignment-10961 points 4 years ago [recovered] (4 children) | Copy Link
I don’t really talk or date around with a lot of guys at the same time, but maybe he thinks I do? When we were at the bar after dinner, I put my phone down unlocked and he looked at it and saw the number of notifications in the corner of the dating app we met on and called me out on it. This app gives you a notification if someone likes you on it, not just if you match with someone or if messages you. Obviously women get a lot of likes on apps so the number was pretty high. He seemed completely taken back & brought it up in convo 2 times after the fact and I just kinda laughed and brushed it off because I felt a little awkward. Maybe he thinks because I got a lot of likes on the app that I’m entertaining them all so he’s not taking me seriously? I don’t know, im probably thinking too much into it. He was making jokes about how he’s just another guy on my nfl roster which obvi isn’t true lol
[–]premedchunsa 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh well now that we have some context, it makes more sense why he acted that way. He’s probably just guarding his heart since it “appeared” that you had a lot of options from the dating app. At the end of the day, guys are humans too and they don’t want their heartbroken. If you like him, I’d honestly just provide the guy with some reassurance on your next date.

This is important info for sure, if I saw this Id definitely be weary of making any serious move beyond hooking up
wow really ?
i think if that were true he would be acting differently and putting in more effort so you can choose him. but also maybe he’s more mature than that
