My advice is to stop being desperate. You care too much about looking like a "stingy" douchebag. I mean, when you go out to bars, it really isnt a societal norm to buy a women a drink to start talking to her. Shits outdated. Once shits rolling and it seems like you're going to at the very least get a date/number, that's when you can buy them a drink.

This happened to me.

Some women came up to me and were like "want to take a shot with us?" And I said uhhh OK, but then realized they didn't have the shot yet and were passing the bill off to me and expecting me to put it on my tab.

I said "wait, you don't already have the shot? Pretty sure when you ask someone for a drink, you gift it to them" ... Turned around and continued to talk go my friends.

Maintain your self worth and understand when people are using you for your money. Im well off, but still. Maintain your principles and don't give a fuck what strangers think of you, no matter how hot they are.

Sure, I could've bought a round for them and maybe gotten them to talk go our group, but my friends didn't think twice. Fuck people that want free things from you. Not how I operate.

Embrace being the stingy douchebag. Don’t allow yourself to be shamed into what you don’t want to do. Whether you had the money or not you’re it obligated to buy anyone anything let alone strangers.

So for next time, whenever a girls like, “Do X for me or else you’re a Z” your response should be along the lines of “Shit…I guess I’m a Z then” and laugh it off.

It really depends on your social calibration in these situations, some girls are just pros at rinsing men like this all night, in which case use the line above , and it almost certainly won't work either.

If they aren't professional attention seekers, and just being a bit cheeky, you can try a halfway house, and make her jump through a hoop first. Get one to do something like go a quick spin, taker her hand under your arm, and then chat to them for a minute, and tell them that they're worth a drink now. After that turn your body language away to the side of them, like you now have no interest in them and speak sideways to them, or something like that.

Well $6/shot is cheap so you might need to slow your roll if you're hurting financially lol. Other than that, just turn it around on them. "Nah you buy me a drink." If not, then just get your own and that's that. There's no secret technique or wisdom for this, but you should know that caring so much about what some strange girls think of you is bad for two reasons; these people's opinions affect you in no way, and these people do not have your best interest at heart. They are very much using you for free drinks, you have nothing to gain.

Make it a game where you try to pick up chicks without spending any money doing it. It forces you to find other ways to initiate and keep their attention. Learned a ton in the years I was broke, and got me to stop feeling uncomfortable being clear about things like splitting bills and Uber’s.
