First of all, love the community here.

Before I start, I should add I've been trying out a technique (for everything, not just pick up) that may sound stupid, but it works. It's simple; What would James Bond do?

Ok so I'm at the coffee shop and in front of me are two HBs. One's a HB7 and the other a HB8. So the HB7 is yapping on about her boyfriend and they order together and HB7 goes to find a seat for the two of them. I've now ordered and we're both standing by each other at the point where we're waiting by area to get our drinks. She grabs a handful of sugar packets and I remember something funny that my friend said about sugar. I basically snicker and she looks at me. I look away. Then I start laughing a big louder just because of the awkward situation (I'm weird like that). She then says to me;

'What's going on?'

What do you mean?'

'You're laughing. Why? Tell me' (She seemed concerned like she was embarrassing herself)

'It's just.......nothing' (Here's when the James Bond gear kicked in)

'Come on. Is it me? What's so funny?'

'I'll tell you......but I need to have drinks with you first'

She basically lunges for the phone in my hand and inputs her number. Halfway through, she looks up and says 'There's nothing funny is there, this is a ploy?' with a smile on her face.

I just replied 'We'll have to see then won't we?'

Coffee arrives......I walk out like its Casino fucking Royale.

UPDATE: Wow.....didn't expect such a response from it. Just shows that we really need more FRs on seddit. Trying to get a couple more up there.

I texted her the night after and met up for after work drinks last night (I said I coudn't do anything for too long and that I was quite weary even though I initiated the meetup talk.....classic bait and switch. suggest you try it, it works quite well)

I k-closed and will maybe see her again. She's cool enough, just a bit boring haha.
