So most of my life I've seen myself as a sort of funny guy. Sometimes, I went through dark periods, but I always had a sense of humor and liked to joke around. But recently, I've been trying to get back out there, and I've realized I'm just way to serious and frank all the time. I was really isolated over COVID, lost a lot of my social skills and went through a bad spell of depression, and now I feel like I can't connect with my old laid back kind of personality. Even at work, if one of my friends cracks a joke, I just smile awkwardly. I don't know what to say, and I don't laugh. And in the past, it was me who was cracking the jokes. I think this serious vibe, at my age (27), makes me come off as a grandpa. Maybe when I was 18, I could've come off as dark and mysterious, but now I think it is just kryptonite to women. What should I do to get out of my own head?
