As mentioned, Models by Mark Manson is a place to start.

But I'd like to add, the most important thing is to better yourself. What I mean is, don't make it all about just seducing women and getting lots of friends, that won't make you happy in the long run. Instead, focus on developping a life that makes you happy (and yes, that also means having the women you want in it).

So start working out. It helps to make you feel better. It doesn't matter wether you hit the gym or try any sport you've always wanted to try.

You could make a list with stuff you've always wanted to do and try to accomplish them. That will help develop hobbies and it's a great way to get new people in your life.

BASICS to be studied:

1: David DeAngelo - Double Your Dating Advanced (audio or video): Why? Because it not only goes over the concepts of game, but it talks about why these things work the way they do from a biological and psychological level. The other bonus is, that it includes many speakers in the community towards the end so you can get a crash course in the different schools of thought in the community and help decide a path for you to go down.

2: Venusian Arts (ebook): Revelations - This is a rehash of the old Mystery Method book from back in the day, however it is much better written, and explains the concepts of Mystery Method in a very user friendly way. This has all the basics in it you should know. It doesn't mean you have to play the game exactly how it is in this book, but at least you will have an understanding of many of the basic concepts involved in game.

If anyone goes through both of those they will completely understand all the concepts in game at least at a very basic level. After that it will be much easier to understand what to do with women and why you are doing it.

BONUS MATERIAL: that will help explain and give you more firepower is:

1: Swinggcat - Foundations for Generating Attraction (audio) - This is an underrated program that has many of the concepts discussed in the programs above and adds the elements of Storytelling, Prizeability and PUSH PULL which everyone should know, and gets into push pull on a very deep level. I highly recommend this.

2: David Deida - Way of the Superior Man (ebook) - More of an Inner Game book, that talk about the spiritual relationships between men and women and how a man needs to have his own path, be a rock, and a strong male especially in his relationships with women. This will answer many of the "Why do I do this?" or "Why am I supposed to say that when it seems kind of insulting?" Or "I don't feel comfortable doing that with a woman. Wont she get offended?" - The answers are in this book.

3: Ross Jeffries - Advanced Speed Seduction Seminar: This is RECOMMENDED - Why? Because Ross Jeffries is basically considered the Godfather of the Seduction community. However, that being said many, MANY of the best guys in this community, whether they admit it or not (and that includes Mystery, RSD, you name it) all teach and/or use Speed Seduction concepts. In this program is fantastic stuff on Inner Game, but also teaches the concepts of Patterned Language, which is very powerful stuff used at the right place and time with women.

4: Cliff's List Convention 2005 - Mystery, Tyler Durden, David DeAngelo, Style and a whole lot more make appearances in this giving hour long speeches or more. This will give guys a large foundation to MANY schools of thought in this community from many of the classic Masters in the game. From here, it should be easy for anyone to know all about what path they want to take as far as what to study next.

This is a lot of material that will keep you busy for months. What that does NOT mean is to sit home and study and stop going out. This stuff is only effective if you are practicing it, so you can internalize it all and giving yourself a frame of reference by being out in the field and practicing it on women.

Study and going out should be about 50/50. Some guys might be a little overly tryhard about the numbers and say, "No study time should be more like 37/63" or some other random percentage combo, but you get the point. You need to spend time at home studying and you need to be in the field practicing this stuff as well. It doesn't do anyone any good to Sit home only studying material, and it doesn't do guys any good to just go out without studying and practicing. You gotta do both. RUN from guys who say otherwise. They most likely suck and will drag you down with them.

"The Fundamentals of Direct Game" video on Youtube by Sasha Daygame (I think he's a truly great and genuine guy).
"The Mystery Method" do not try to study or apply but just read because, even if everyone is bashing on Mystery, the books is a great overview of male/female interactions.
More advanced and for later, Pandora Box System by Vin DiCarlo coaching... It just saves a lot of time and helps you understand women so much better. Good luck !

Here is one of the greatest (and free) archives of posts I've ever found, by a PUA calling himself YaReally. He's the shit. I've linked a specific comment of his that addresses what a newbie should get into first to get laid like crazy.

On top of this maybe "Rules of the Game" by Neil Strauss. I know this book gets a lot of flak because "no one is ever able to finish the 30 day challenge", but why knock a book because of a challenge being too difficult? It's a good resource to do the challenges in that book and when you get stuck on a difficult challenge, you can breakdown for yourself why it's difficult and discover sticking points for yourself.

I've heard Models to be good too which seems to be a big consensus in this thread.

I do want to point out though that knowledge without experience isn't going to get you far, so please be sure to apply these concepts in the field. One can read about how to ski all day, but skiing down that hill is the only way to actually get good.

Dude I basically started over from scratch my senior year of high school and again in college.

The thing you should be working on first should be your life. Don't think about attracting the opposite sex. It'll come once you improve your life

1) hit the gym

2) work on interacting with people and just learning how to make friends = this is extremely important. Work on your personality. Become a source of fun (go with the flow). Be a yes man (say yes if you're invited). Pick up a hobby or a couple it'll make you interesting. Document the changes you make in your life and your interactions with people- what you think made people like you and want to hang out with you and what went well during s conversation and what you talked about and the mindset/emotion you had during these interactions. This journaling really helped my social skills.

3) hit those people up so you start hanging out with them and develop a social circle.

I went from awkward and not knowing how to talk to people to making some very close friends and having everyone know me as the cool/funny/fun loving guy.

People will befriend you if you're a cool guy and what is a cool guy? Someone that helps everyone in some sort of way shape or manner. In my case I bring good vibes/emotions and fun and im positive.

Note to you, the rsd stuff I read (just some posts on being a cool guy) helped me quite a bit. I didn't really read it to learn how talk to women. I took what I thought was helpful advice like the principles on being a cool guy (source of fun, providing good vibes to people, being positive, and the idea of never running out of things to say).

Summary- work on your life. Become a provider of good vibes/be fun/be positive. Make friends. Journal interactions. Call new friends. Keep hanging out

Screw the stupid game stuff.

Look, you're starting from scratch. Unfortunately what you need to learn very fast is many guys out there are blind leading the blind.

I coach professionally, and I have been in game for a decade. Let me just tell you straight up. MARK MANSON is shit! TERRIBLE!

I know some guy said it and got a few likes, but again, blind leading the blind. Guys, for some reason, LOVE Mark Manson's shit but these guys all have something in common, they aren't getting laid or having much success with women - This is speaking from experience of knowing a bunch of Mark Manson fans... There are MANY guys I know personally, who have this bug up their ass about how great Mark Manson is. I don't get it AT ALL. Most of these guys still have problems with approach anxiety. However, what they do like to do is parrot out nonsense about "How bad game is" "You don't need game" "You don't need all this pickup stuff" "Just be genuine" "Be yourself" yadda, yadda, yadda...

He appeals to a Lazy, White Knight part of guys that doesn't actually want to do the hard work to become good and consistent at game, and just wants to hear that's ok. Mark Manson himself learned game, studied game, used game, and then tries to tell people they don't need game, just be yourself, just be genuine blah blah blah - throw up. It's like he wrote a big ebook telling you all the shit you have heard from people who told you the same nonsense all your life, but he just put it in a bunch of wordy pseudo-enlightened nonsense - and why? Not because he thinks it's true, but because he wants to stand out from the crowd, and seem to his readers that he is some super, special, enlightened guy from Seduction Mountain = Creative Marketing - "I am better than the best and enlightened on so much of a higher level... Just ask me, I'll tell you!"

Enough about that guy.. Trust me. Just stay away from him like the plague and anyone who says he has great stuff. It may leave you feeling good without actually getting any results but you wont get any results. He's kinda like a cult in a way. Feel Good with no substance, but "DAMN that Kool-Aid makes me happy."

No book will substitute experience. You were born to seduce women and procreate. This process is about unlearning, not learning. Read a few books (Models, as mentioned), and use the initial confidence boost of "I know what the fuck I'm doing" to speak to as many chicks as possible. The confidence will eventually return to your default level until you make a long-term emotional change.

I would add Six Pillars of Self-esteem by Nathaniel Branden to this list. That book will give you rock solid inner game. Also, Models and No More Mr. Nice Guy.

Then I would watch some of the videos about kino and stuff like that.

But don't be intimidated by all of this. It's not that hard.
