In my twenties, with a body count that can be counted on one hand. I recently entered a relationship with a girl, and I can't say I regret it. In fact, I see a long-term future with her. However, I always expected that during my twenties, I would rack up a body count in the double digits. Instead, the opposite happened—I ended up in a relationship that lasted several years.

This question is mainly for older guys who also don't have a high body count. Right now, I feel like this is the time when that number should be increasing, but breaking up a relationship that seems great just for that reason feels questionable. What I’m wondering is: when I get older, will I regret not being more active with more women in my youth? Or does that feeling fade over time?

My expectations aren’t sky-high—I just don’t want to be in a situation where I meet a girl and have five times fewer partners than she does. When that happens, I can’t help but feel a bit down about it. I’ve had plenty of opportunities for one-night stands and have spent nights with girls, but I almost always prioritized partying, which usually resulted in me being too drunk to do anything—or, if you get what I mean, he wasn’t able to do anything.

I’m just looking for advice because I assume this isn’t an uncommon issue. There are probably guys here who have been in my situation, had similar thoughts, and now, years later, know whether they regret it or not.
