Hello! Last year I made tons of changes to my life and really tried to step up my game. My attitude towards life/girls, my wardrobe, and other areas of my life got a facelift or a complete rework. I read The Game, Models, and portions of Mystery Method. I started meeting girls, talking to girls, and going out with girls. I became physical with girls, developed confidence I'd never had before, etc.

About three weeks ago on a run-of-the-mill date (I'd had a different date the night before and two more scheduled for the next day and the day after that) I met this girl and we really clicked. I wasn't looking for a relationship (was more or less even avoiding the idea) but the amount of things we had in common and how much we enjoyed spending time together (not to mention the chemistry/sex) just kind of led to a mutual one-itis if you will. I'm not sure if that's good or bad, because one-itis is something I've avoided like the plague, but if it's mutual and if a relationship seems to be on the table then it seems more appropriate?

Anyway, I tried to follow all the advice I've picked up around here. At the very top of my list was not over-investing (not investing more into things than she does, especially before sex, advice I got from Models). We went on a second date and then third date was her coming over and we cooked, and of course she stayed the night and sex.

Since then there has been a lot of going out and being at each others houses.

We seem to be on the same page about a ton of things. I had kinda given up on that really even being possible after a life-changing breakup I went through a couple years back. This year was going to be about girls and fun and sex and not this, but it's kinda landed in my lap and I don't really mind.

Yesterday she had a hard day (she's a single mom, two young daughters) and we were talking on the phone last night and while I it might be a little strong to say she was expressing doubts, she definitely seemed to lack the confidence about us she's had the last several weeks (or, the emotional/psychological investment, I might say).

This has always been one of my worst sticking points. I don't know when to console, when to re-assure, when to back off and let her figure things out on her own, etc. I could name a long list of girls going all the back to highschool (I'm 29) where I've blown it at this point. I'm not even sure that I've never not blown it with this, even if I've been able to make a recovery before.

Can some veterans pitch in here? Please understand that this isn't a one-night stand. It's a young relationship but it is one. I don't trust /r/dating or /r/relationships the way I trust /r/seduction when it comes to this stuff - this is the sub that got me here, not those, so I'm posting here. I'm of the mindset that seduction is about becoming the kind of man you can be for a lifetime, whether that's early on with one night stands or a lifetime partnership exclusive with one other person, and while this is far from that it's a step down the spectrum from a quick fling. I've got the casual dating stuff down I feel like. What advice have you got for the next level?

Please tell me what has worked for you in the past and what hasn't, and if you have an inkling as to why it worked or didn't please share that also.

EDIT: Or do I just walk away here. That doesn't really feel right to me, but I do know it's an option. What someone will have to spell out for me (the way we spell things out for each other around here...) is if it's not just an option but the answer.
