My two cents - you have a full keyboard, use it. Your grammar and spelling should not suffer; speak English fluently, and learn how to make your point in 160 grammatically correct letters. It's apparently not the norm, and goes a long way in impressing the girl.

Hah, this is so amusing for me. Not because they put out those rules and break them, it's because rules must be broken. People want life to be all like a check list. If I want this then I gotta do this and that. But there is no sure way, no golden rule, especially no fairness, and yet we just don't want to accept that. We keep searching for the easy way out. The fastest ways etc.

That's the most important point to me. I see a good amount of friends ruminate far too long over what to text a girl who they find attractive. A conversation over text should almost never get serious enough to the point where it could make or break it for you. If it does, then you're doing something wrong.

I have a good friend who is a master at texting girls. I one day asked him for input. His main piece of advice was to not force the conversation. If she says something uninteresting and hard to reply to, just stop texting her. If you come up with something to say later then text her.

I don't agree with this guide 100%. I break a lot of these rules.

2 & 5 Contradict each other.

Here's a secret. When you get her number, CALL her. 95% of guys just text these days. STAND OUT. Give her call.

3 out of 3 girls I've called in the last week ago have literally said "Wow, thanks for calling, no one does that any more..."

Use the 3:2 rule. For every 3 texts, emails,snapchats, etc.you only send 2 in return (taken from 16 rules of poon)

nice theories and guidelines, I'd love to know more about how you came to them. patterns you noticed, things like that.

The rules you live by are great for you, but unless I can come to those rules of my own imagination, I don't see myself implementing them.

Maybe it's just me but this is just overcomplicating things. I say fuck rules? This kind of stuff is heavily based on outcome and not about what YOU want to do as a guy, if you want to text her, do it and do what you want with it. If the girl loses interest, then it's a great way of seeing who is truly compatible with you and who is not. Surround yourself who want to be around the real you, don't hang on to every girl.

In the past few weeks, I stopped talking to a girl because she bombarded my phone with text messages. We met up a couple of times and I banged her, and then the text messages escalated. She was constantly unavailable to meet, but bombarded me with text messages after text messages. A week or two after she asked me what the deal breaker was with her, I said, "You made it too difficult to hangout with you." She exhausted the thrill of seeing her by overcompensating with a litany of text messages. As a guy, I felt that she was needy and insecure. Text messaging simply ruins relationships and potential relationships. Only use text messages to setup dates, period.

I wonder when seddit will grow out of this "wait 5 hours to text her back 'cause she'll think you're cool" attitude. If you get a text from her and you know you received it, fucking reply. If you're doing something, sure, wait until after you've finished your immediate task but don't be a douche and wait all day. People carry their phones in their pockets everywhere nowadays. Girls will think you're a dick if they text you in the morning and they don't get a reply back until night. It only takes 20 seconds to send a text.

As a girl this is good solid advice, I've been seeing a guy who's texting is really light and sporadic, for a good while I didn't think he was even into me. Seeing him in person though proves otherwise. Thanks for the info OP!

These rules are horrible. Esp the times for txting. Just talk to her if u got game and are attractive its gonna happen, no need to compensate with crazy rules like this. These will back fire and she will likely be txtin other guys
