Today I went to the local cafe here in Berlin, when I say local cafe, I mean the cafe of my preference, because the area I live in is filled with all different types of cafes, all different styles and atmospheres. Some places have small finger foods and baked goods, some have full meals, some have only coffee, they all have free wifi and comfortable seating arrangements, which is key if you are trying to find a lovely young woman to run your game on!

As I glanced around the cafe while ordering my cappuccino, I started to strategically plan where I was going to sit, was it going to be on the stool seating next to the brunette eating a salad (wow shes healthy, probably in shape and hits the gym), was I going to take the last seat on the couch next to the beautiful blonde who was wearing her sexy glasses and reading a book (this is totally my type), or was I going to sit at the 4 person table next to the Cute looking Asian girl who was typing away on her macbook (hmmm maybe she is writing a book, or a poem, or a song)? Tough decision, but now is not the time to debate or hesitate, my cappuccino is almost served and I can not walk out into the seating area looking around and hesitating like a creep, I need to have my mind made up and walk to my seat of choice with confidence, I do not want to show any signs that I am putting effort into where I will sit. At the same time, I am thinking to myself, where will I have a higher success rate, what do I know most about, food, books, or writing? Well, I am not much of a reader, so today I will pass up my woman of higher interest, the blonde, the asian woman typing away looks in the zone, maybe I would be bothering her or interrupting her flow, I think I will take a stool next to the brunette who has a very delicious looking salad.

As I get my coffee, whip out my ipad, I smoothly approach the stool seating asking if anyone was sitting there already, she jokingly says, how did I know you were going to sit here? With a huge smile on her face. This quickly broke any awkwardness that may occur, and wow, I didnt have to come up with some weird and corny pick up line to break the ice. I just broke a smile and sat down, I took a minute to take my jacket off and then said, maybe it was the direct eye contact we made when I was walking in, or maybe it was that salad that attracted me, so green and healthy! She giggled and and continued eating.

When I started to sip my coffee and read my ipad, I knew I had to come up with a quick chat up line to continue conversation, so I noticed she had a pair of the old Kanye West sneakers on, the Yeezy 2′s, if you havent noticed already, she was a hipster chick, which is awesome, but anyway, I asked her if she heard about the new Kanye West sneaker release that actually just happened a few days prior, she went crazy!! At that moment, I knew that I opened up a whole list of conversation topics that she would be interested in, sneakers, music, weed, etc. This was my type of girl, I made the right choice on where to sit and who to target, even though she was not my ideal girl for the looks, she was totally into the same types of things that I was into, which made conversation a whole lot easier.

As conversation went on, my coffee got cold, I might have taken one or two sips total, when I mentioned that my coffee was not hot anymore, she suggested that the reason I didnt drink it was because I was too into her, and I jokingly said, no im pretty sure it was the salad, that made her smile, and also feel challenged, this is when I made the move to ask her on a date. I told her about a bar I knew in Berlin where you could drink beer and play Mario Kart, she said she could whoop my ass in the game, and to pick the time and day. It was that easy, it was smooth, it was effective.

There is a lot more to the story, many more details that I left out, lots of conversation topics that I did not mention, but what I wanted to point out was even though I was not totally confident, and I was not 100% sure my game would work, I kept the composer I needed to succeed. I never once showed a sign of insecurity, I never hesitated, I was just myself, I was honest, I talked about topics I could expand on, and this lead to a number and a date.

Guys, be yourself, be honest and be confident!! GO TO THE LOCAL CAFE AND HAVE A SEAT!
