I imagine that having too many rules on who should do what will be detrimental to the health of the relationship. If you want to text, then text. If the other person doesn't like that, find a compromise. The key is to talk about what works for each other rather than guess on who should do what.

It doesn’t matter who should or shouldn’t text first. Whoever gets the chance to text, should go for it! If one gets busy, then it’s understandable to text later. But if the other person wants to send a text, I’d say do it. Because it shows they had fun, they care and are appreciative, and thinking about them! I’m all for not wasting time and playing games, so I like it when girls and guys both take initiative to show and express how they feel.

This is an overthought question. Did you enjoy the date? Text her. If you want to give her the option to text you first, then wait until the next day. What if she really likes you but doesn’t want to seem desperate because she’s asking this same silly question to herself? That’s why you wait a day. You’ll know by her reply from that how she feels.

Be direct (I had a great time) thankful for her time, and specific (set a day/date/activity.)

As for the texting, if you wanna say something then just do it. There is no right or wrong person to text first. If you liked the date and wanna do it again, just tell them. Why make it a bigger deal than it is. Either you two wanna go on another date or you don’t, but why make that miserable by waiting for whoever can text first when you can just do it.

What I personally do is tell the girl to text me when she gets back home safe. Then wait a few days and I initiate contact to set up a 2nd date.

So technically the girl texted me first after the date and then I re-initiated with her a few days later.

Other than that, I'd say that the man is expected to and should pursue.
