Im out on the street right now and reading this while i'm resting my feet.

32 unsuccessful approaches today, 3 numbers.

My feet are killing me. And i've been getting blown out by Japanese girls all. day. long.

Shibuya is hard as fuck...

But, im putting in the work. Girls don't stop. They don't hook. It's hard. I'm in a shitty mood. But this is good for me, so i'm soldiering on.

Aiming for 50 rejections tonight. Because that means at least 50 approaches.

I need to get better at coming off more relaxed when i approach. And holding eye contact and a cheeky smile.

You are right. A lot of men like to complain when they barely even try (myself included sometimes). You have to put in the work, just like becoming prolific in any art form.

I sort of kept stats just for this case. I started at absolute zero at the age of 18. On and off for a few months at time. This time I am on for good.

I got a number in my first five approaches. I got my first date after about the first 100. My first kiss at 125.

I have a few dates lined up but I am still looking for a girlfriend. My advice from 2 years of f*cking around is that frequency is greater than total number of approaches.

The first two years were just flaky numbers and a possible date if I just played it cool. It was fun but disheartening. I did like 3 approaches a week tops, when the conditions were ideal.

Then 2017 April I started a 30 day challenge, approaching all the time even in unfavorable conditions. Got a bunch of numbers, flakes, friends, dates, confidence and experience.

I ended my 30 day challenge early because I didn't need to do it anymore, I was talking to a few girls and I needed to focus on finals. Literally in the 2+ years of my journey, I learned 90% of my game in the past 2 months.

You're definitely speaking the truth with that.

Most guys (myself included) just tend to get caught up and not want to put our hands under the scolding water again. You got to tho.

Maybe... I'm not trying enough.

Several months ago I stopped trying so hard with girls. I'm focusing on myself, my goals, my interests, my hobbies, my needs, etc. What happened?

Ironically girls started becoming more interested in me, without me trying as hard. Because girls like guys that are confident, know what they want, and are not concerned about pleasing them.

For instance I've had a hard time not drinking, but I won't bend what's best for a chick. Tempting? Sure, but that's not good for me personally to drink.

I've definitely missed easy chances with girls but I don't really care. I've made friends with many attractive girls which is a plus. I've been texting with a cute Brazilian girl, could go somewhere. I won't be broken-up if it doesn't.

Should you try and approach and be outgoing? Absolutely!

Working on your mental, physical, and spiritual self is a good thing. It will increase your success rate, perhaps without you even thinking about it.

I can't help but feel this should be titled:

"You're not trying nearly enough (if you're not in the top 20%)".

As an average looking guy who has a reasonable number of accomplishments (well educated, started and run a community project, good job) it still bugs me how easy it is for good looking dudes. I've spent years working on my self, getting better socialised (to a point, I still don't like loud venues much due to sensory sensitivity so I avoid clubs and bars), working out, trying to figure out what turns women on and learning what does/doesn't work, and a guy I know who is literally living out of a flat his parents own and scraping by with the little bit of cash his parents give him for food, gets way more attention from the ladies than I do simply because he's good looking. The guy is pretty, but makes verbal blunders all the time and earns nothing, and girls still are drawn to him like a moth to a flame.

To be clear he's actually a decent bloke, it just freaking annoys me from time to time (particularly when a girl I have an on/off crush on can't keep her hands off him when we hang out).

That being said I know I'm being a little whiny bitch because I've had very attractive women into me in the past, I was just afraid to pull the trigger at the time.

Six crushes? On the one hand, that's a recipe for disaster given the loaded expectations that come with crushes: visions of a blissful future, perfection, "I would treat you right," etc. On the other hand, it's good to get that baggage that goes-with out of the way so one can get to improving oneself in earnest.
