Mine did something similar. She drove me away with verbal abuse. I finally told her I wanted a divorce. She was pissed I didn't cheat on her because then people won't side with her. Her parents still like me. Haha.

Court of public opinion. She’s trying to build a village for support. She needs to be the victim to garnish sympathy. My ex wife did the same thing.

She sabotaged the marriage and ruined a cross country move (I took a job in Arizona and moved from Georgia). She realized that the world was too big and scary without a man to leach off of so she Uno Reversed and weaponized our kid for child support and child tax credit. She ran to her family and her church so they can save her during the transition.

This is a woman survival tactic.

Sure mine has a restraining order with video and claims she is the victim , to get all the sympathy .

It's all manipulation, brothers. They've been married to us men for the long term and have been observing how we react to the buttons they push. As a matter of fact, I'm willing to bet my entire pay check that 99% of the women you all are dealing with didn't work, and you took care of everything. These are facts. Get the divorce done, shut her(all ties to her) off like she didn't pay the water bill. Get yourself together and review the red flags during your marriage. You know the arguments that you have had and let her win, but it still was in the back of your mind because she pressed your button and manipulated you. It's ok, search it, embrace it, and change it. From a man who went before you.!!!

Talking shyt on social media (or anywhere publicly) about the relationship and divorce is low budget. Don't get involved with it. People know there are 2 sides to the story. They pretty much also frown on BS being spewed on social media because like I said, it's low budget.

Move on. Ignore her. Nothing is more powerful than ignoring someone. You send a message that what they think and say is so unimportant that you don't even hear it. I still have plenty of time in the same space with my ex because of the kids activities and events with the kids friends/parents. At first she used to take little jabs at me in these settings and initially I would treat the jab as a compliment and say "hey, thank you!" with a smile, or "aw, isn't she a sweetheart!" with a smile. That was pretty fun.

But the best was when I started the ignoring program, which was to either look at her after a jab for 2-3 seconds and say nothing, then go on talking with whoever else was there, or even better not even looking at her and just moving the conversation along. That's what I do now, not even look just ignore her entirely. And she has stopped 100% with the jabs. Can't remember the last time I heard one. I think she was getting embarrassed about being ignored in public right to her face. One of the other dads remarked to me once how brilliant my ignoring program was. I said when you want to kill a fire just starve it of air.

Rise above brother, don't get dragged into a public he said/she said battle. Move along.

Definitely. My ex tells everyone I kicked her out of the house and stole everything from her, when literally I just did everything she asked while begging to talk about it

Mine did something similar. She filed (when we agreed in therapy to not file yet). I moved out and eventually got a place of my own. When I started living my life as a “single” guy she started rumors I was cheating in the community.

I don’t recommend you start sleeping with anyone until your divorce is final.

I’m going through texts all the way back to 2015 now in an effort to combat her narrative of me being x, y, and z. It’s amazing how many people can live in their own righteousness without regard to reality.

I guess I’m just another raised hand in the “Has anyone’s ex done Y?” questions we often see on this sub.

Thankful my ex doesn't use social media. Also she has alienated everyone who's opinion I'd care about so she can't really slander me in any fashion that would matter

Mine had full out lied about every aspect of our relationship, our divorce, our finances and anything else you can conceive of.

She’s projected onto me every negative thing she’s ever done. It’s all my fault.

She’s a victim on social media. To every mutual friend. To strangers. To the court.

It’s insane.

The first pieces of advice you get when breaking up are: 1) Lawyer up, 2) Delete Facebook, 3) Hit the gym.

Ignore the social media. Tell your family you're not interested in what your ex says. What she says on social media doesn't matter unless it rises to libel or harassment.

She knows what she's saying is false. She's trying to set you off balance so you're obsessed with preserving your reputation instead of addressing the real issues coming up. Talk is cheap. Lawyer up, delete the socials and hit the gym. If she keeps trashing you on socials, you march down to family court and file a restraining order. It's easy, free, and tends to keep the shit-talking to a minimum.
