I recently have gone through the wringer. My wife of 8 years told me she’s leaving to go be with someone she’s been cheating on me with, and while I’ve been grieving, trying to understand what is going on, she’s been on daily calls with him that last for hours. Sometimes she does mutual video pleasure in our bed while I’m trying to sleep in our 1 year old’s room.

My chest hurts, and I’m worried that the stress I’m under might cause my heart to fail. I don’t have a history of heart conditions, so I know something is physically hurt.

I have to try to be civil with her for 2 months until she leaves. I’m just trying to take it day by day, and trying to get things sorted with a divorce attorney as quickly as possible.

Listening to the advice of my parents, make small goals, even if it’s as simple as brushing your teeth, then dressing, and so on and so on.

But man, this sucks. I envisioned my life with her, and she has already moved on by the time I noticed anything wrong. Suddenly I have to be ok with her leaving, me fighting for custody, sleeping alone, trying to think of what to do next.
