Hello lovely ladies!

It's story time. I have not ONE but TWO great examples of the long term benefits of blocking and deleting a man you have determined is not for you.

Example #1: The value in blocking AFTER dating.

Here I was enjoying my day only to have it interuppted by an ex. The text was polite and "seemingly" harmless. The unfortunate thing is this is an ex I very much still have feelings for... It seems as though we each end up texting eachother 1-2 times a month even though we broke up an ENTIRE YEAR ago!

Let me also point out that he has been dating another woman for months.

Today it hit me.

He is breadcrumming me.

He's keeping me on the line in case this other relationship fails.

In my pickmeisha days I always had amicable break ups and had remained friendly with exes but now I see how volatile this is for the heart.

If you want to move forward you HAVE to remove all contact with your ex. Otherwise you put your heart at risk of jumping and pitter pattering every time they reach out. It's unhealthy and toxic to your emotional healing. It's not being rude, it's respecting yourself.

Example #2: The value in blocking BEFORE dating.

As much as blocking an ex is important for healing... blocking an inappropriate suitor is equally as important. I have an ex whom I dated for 2.5 years and he was wildly toxic and emotional abusive to me. It's taken years to recover.

The irony is that I KNEW he wasn't right for me when we first connected. We had one date early on and I declined him based on a gut reaction. He then continued to text me intermittently asking to 'hang out', see a movie, go to a group event, etc. We had mutual friends so it was easy for him to seem harmless. On the outside this seems innocent enough but in reality he was only waiting on the sidelines.

I managed to decline his passes for TWO YEARS.

Well... the other day a mutual friend told me that ex had strategically moved a BLOCK away from me. He knew where I lived and choose to move into the area to be closer to me... a girl he had gone on ONE date with.

He was waiting for a time in which I was in a weakened state to cave to his advances. Old me would never have believed this type of behaviour. No... guys aren't like that... he was just being nice.. that's insane, no one is that malicious!

It was only a matter of time.

He was like a vulture circling around me, waiting for a chance to pick me off.

As SOON as you know a man isn't for you, BLOCK and DELETE. Trust your gut ladies. You were right the first time.

Block and delete for your safety AND for the safety of your FUTURE self.
