I hope you had a nice weekend ladies. I know a man, socially (no romantic past / interest) and have been watching him change through a break-up. This is why women need to be so careful to vet to make sure they are not a "rebound" for a man, and to generally avoid men after break-ups. Since his girlfriend dumped him 3 months ago, this man has:

  • Visited her social media daily (another reason to block and delete)
  • Insisted on remaining in her orbit (she wanted them to stay "friends")
  • Wondered aloud repeatedly whether they would get back together
  • Has been overtly sexual with other women, which is a change in his character
  • Started drinking more
  • Started staying out later

I feel so bad for the woman that dates him after this break-up. She will 100% be used as a rebound. She will be compared to his ex and likely triangulated. She could be the most amazing person, but will not measure up to the image this man has in his head of THE EX.

There have been some great FDS posts on attachment disorders, the Madonna/whore complex etc. Every woman should beware that even if a man is compatible with you, if the timing isn't right, it could lead to serious issues.

Any other telltale signs of a man looking for a rebound after a break-up?
