When someone says "this is how it is" that is their view. This should be obvious, it's implicit. In speech/English classes we're taught that saying "I think" and "In my opinion" are wastes of space in a paragraph. People can experience reality very differently, so why does it surprise you that people have very differing ideas of what's true? This sub is two pretty polar opposite communities trying to discuss things. I'm not surprised both sides speak very matter of factly.

The point of debate is not for one side to say "awe shucks you've been right all along!" The point of the debate is to argue your point, and absorb the whole discussion and process it. It's way more useful process than what you're proposing, and I think you're underestimating people's ability to change their minds as well.

There are hardly any statistics or studies that are posted in this sub. Even when they are its just "no I know x person and they are the complete opposite." Its just projecting their beliefs and findings onto others.

I thought this sub could be summarised this way:

Person 1: Life sucks. I haven't had relationship or sex for 45 years. Been waiting in my room for someone to turn up, but so far no luck. So I think i'll complain and insult some more to you internet strangers.

Person 2: I disagree, life for me is perfect. I'm with the love of my life after having a reasonable amount of sex in my past that fitted with my values. Clearly there is some missing context and lucky breaks that's enabled me to be so happy with my life, but i'm going to either ignore it or vaguely refer to it so I can focus more on being a condescending prick to you all.

Look, this place is a gold mine. I've upgraded my gift of gab. I'm purple and can see the value and utility of both sides which helps navigate my way through life. Its made many of my fictional characters in my books stand out. I get to see where my own deficiencies are and get a glimpse at just how equally clueless most women are about men as men are about women.

And really that's what PPD is about. One gender's cluelessness of the other.

The purpose of debate like this is not to get your opponent to change his mind, because that's probably not going to happen. You're really trying to persuade the audience that your argument is better than your opponent's argument.

Well on some topics I'm pretty sure some of the people who disagree with me know how wrong they are, they are just engaging in a power struggle because they'd prefer a world in which everyone agreed to believe a lie. I'm quite confident this is the case because when you look at the writing styles and turns of phrase throwaway accounts, there are clearly three or four different heavy users of that option who don't appear to just be trolling for funsies and yet are still willing to use arguments (using different throwaways) that are mutually exclusive. They don't actually care whether the things they say are true, they care whether the things they say get might be able to get them what they want. Their opinions are clearly strategic not authentic. Since my opinions are always at least authentic, in general odds are I'm going to be more right than them.

This is pretty much people in general. If you study communication theory, people have these information voids and tend to fill them with the first narrative that makes sense. It does not necessarily have to be the truth.

Ask a person 50 years ago how to lose weight and they would have told you to cut fat. Ask a person today and the answer is probably to cut carbs.

The truth is usually more nuanced. To use the weight loss example, people lose weight on both high carb and high fat diets. Its the combination of fat consumption and insulin levels that lead to fat storage. Nobody is going to tell you that because that's not what people have been sold.

Oh totally this whole sub and the pillosphere in general is 70% whoreshit unironically. By that I mean the pills naturally attract people that have strong emotions regarding gender dynamics. Every bit of "logic" and "truth" here is tainted by every one individual person's specific experiences and views. I can acknowledge that I do it too. The honkpill is where I'm at currently. Just whatever, it is how it is. I don't get laid so I don't even care. Makes me sad sometimes but so does not being rich. I do lean red just because I see what guys like me have to go through but there's more to life than pussy or lack of it. Also, I'm not saying TRP tactics don't work, I'm just starting that everything people say is motivated by their own biases, opinions, emotions, and experiences, which means all these answers are subjective.

The thing is, you can test this shit. It's like arguing with anti-vaxxers, or flat earthers, or guys who thinks tai chi is an effective martial arts. It's just not really up for debate.

There's lots of political and ethical stuff that is relevant to discuss, but the basis of the red pill sexual strategy - how female attraction works - there's really not much to discuss.
