Look at the god damn glossary.

People are twisting themselves disnecessarily, there always were simple definitions, but people are too lazy to look for it and make their own.

Most blue pills act like reading the god damn glossary will kill them or something.

An Alpha is a guy who can get sex and relationships (if he so chooses) without and promise or anticipation of resource transfer.

I’m going to challenge you on this.

I’ve met plenty of men I’ve found attractive. If they don’t ask me out and we don’t date a few times I don’t sleep with them. And even then I might not. Does that make them beta? If another women does sleep with them without them having to do anything, does that make them alpha again?

if Brad Pitt has to take Angelina Jolie on a date to get her to sleep with him, he’s a beta?

The idea you guys have that there are men out there living out porn fantasies where women just walk up to them and start fucking them is hilarious. You’re far too old and experienced to be indulging in incel fantasies.

I feel like there have been multiple definitions so far:

- a leader of men (TRP?),

- a gigachad (male model)

- an "IDGAF" type outlier (like bikers).

The 2D model makes much more sense to me. The idea is that "alpha" refers to immediate desirability (includes things like physicality, status, etc), and "beta" is refers to desirability for the long term (resources, agreeability, stability, maturity, etc).

This also aligns generally with the gross architecture of the brain and nervous system. The sensory and motor functions of the nervous system are generally split with motor/decision/etc in the front and sensory in the back. "Alpha" is what appeals to the sensory and "beta" is what appeals to the motor/planning half. So IMHO "alpha" and "beta" are evaluated by different brain regions and appealing to both is a strong strategy.

There alpha meme is mostly good looks, and the beta meme is mostly guys with money paying for used goods.

All these incel terms are part of a millennial effort to put everyone in a small little box. Despite what progressives think, it was entirely possibly to be diverse and inclusive and not put people in boxes, but in the rush to define everyone and pigeon hole them in schools, and intersectional retardation, all the millennials grew up thinking everything has to be in a box, even a box on a specturm. So they're worm-kin or sapiosexual or gender fluid or whatever, it is *so damn important to be part of a collective than an individual.

So one promotes their individuality by putting themselves in a box like everyone else. Great. Good for you.

So the alpha/beta/sigma/gamma/simp/cuck/fds boxes arrived, and more importantly, financially exportable boxes.

You can market to blue pills that they can become whatever the hell an alpha meme is with this series of books and coaching sessions and instructional videos, just need to PayPal $4500 and you'll be having sex with 10s by the weekend.

Because you can market to a box and get a good ROI.

So all these boxes are stupid in the first place, why anyone wants to label themselves so much is some sort of "self-esteem" thing, an if-I-say-I'm-alpha-or-a-10-it-becomes-a-reality, you know, like 450 people claiming they're hot and sexy and anyone not thinking they're attractive is immature and programmed by the patriarchy into thinking healthy people are sexy and not someone with a quarter ton of meat on their bones.

But people love boxes. "If I fits, I sits" in cat language.

So alpha looks, beta money, whatever. It's not like some alpha can't lose his looks and have nothing to fall on, and some beta can make himself prettier or win the lottery or anything else that will, in a given environment, make themselves fluid throughout the "labels".

A Beta's attractiveness is dependent upon what he can provide. An Alpha's attractiveness is independent of what he can or can't provide.

The most annoying part about pills is the belief that ANYBODY fits so neatly into one slot or the other, which in turn makes all the other crazy "logic" true even in RL situations. Because RL things depend on a lot of OTHER things which generally depend on personality and preference and don't even talk about what our original ancestors would have done, thank you.

These definitions are totally flawed logic.

Alpha and Beta aren't dumb red pill memes though.

They are a fundamental part of how humans socialise.

Ultimately I think a healthy way of thinking about it is by defining what Alpha means to you.

There is a grey area though, there are some undeniable characteristics women are drawn towards in the male character and looks, those same attributes commonly allow these same men to dominate other men. How much is innate and how much ca be learned isn't really clear. It can also play out differently depending on the environment.

That's my two cents.
