the whole article was nuts, but those last two lines really put me over the edge

he wasn't just raped, he was stabbed 6+ times! meanwhile the cops are being careful to approach this with an open mind. she hasn't denied any of it, but she was on meds at the time so we don't want to rush to judgement. un-fucking-believable!

edit: just did a little digging around. this is a much bigger thing than i realized. she is a celebrity in romania, where this happened. i don't want to link to her facebook page because reddit frowns on that, but it is easy to find. she posts a link to this article which actually calls it rape but leaves out more of the details. she posted it with the comment 'brits love me!', something like that. it is a national joke. talk show hosts ramble on about it. it even has its own facebook page. this guy's life is completely fucked. meanwhile she is laughing her way into a romanian-paris-hilton style fame. she hasn't refuted a thing and i seriously doubt romanian cops are going to give a fuck either way.

A woman CAN be convicted of rape, but only where she has assisted/helped a man commit the act....therefore, once again the man's 'bit' has to be used in force, for even the woman to be convicted. Don't agree? Look it up, SOA 2003, Section 1. Anything else is assault, not rape. If you don't agree with this, well that's your problem - but please do explain how a man could possibly ''perform' under duress?"

Compare the (apparent) female genders of the women who trivialize this as a celebrity lookalike story, with the (apparent) male genders of the men who want equal protection of the law.

Of course, people can lie and choose a gender-reversed name. However, this kind of thing happens a lot. When stories about violent predatory women come out in the news, women (and the feminist media) derail the story with trivia, in order to downplay the outrage that men feel at the unequal protection of the law ... and of the media ... and of western culture.

Romanian culture is extremely sexist, so a man refusing sex from a woman is seen in a negative light. In short, men dominate that society, and make the rules. The rules in an uber-male society don't redound very well to a man who "doesn't act like a man" is expected to act. This just points up the fact that misogyny and male dominated cultures don't only control women, the also control the men. I prefer to live in a society where men can act "like women", and women can act "like men", and where such distinctions are fluid and somewhat meaningless. Depending on where you live in my country, the culture is more or less male-dominated and misogynist. Where I live, in a big city, gender roles are much more fluid and dynamic. I like it because I don't have to live up to the macho thing, but what I get in return is the ability to truly be myself. I don't mind that there are some screaming vaginas that hate men around, because they are simply practicing their freedom. Live and let live. I get to be myself too. This poor guy is a tragedy of male dominated society. But the truth is that there are many more tragedies like this on the female side in Romania, where rape and domestic abuse against women is rampant, than against men.
